4 best electric spaces
Electric spaces, in the context of electrical systems and equipment, do not refer to a specific term or concept. It is possible that there may be a misunderstanding or confusion with the terminology.
However, if you are referring to "electrical spaces" or "electrical enclosures," these are common terms in the field of electrical engineering and electrical installations. Here's what you need to know about electrical spaces and enclosures:
Electrical Enclosures: Electrical enclosures are protective cabinets or boxes designed to house electrical components, equipment, or connections. They serve several important purposes, including protecting people from electrical hazards, preventing environmental factors like dust and moisture from damaging electrical equipment, and containing any potential fires that may occur due to electrical faults.
Types of Electrical Enclosures:
- Panelboards: These enclosures house electrical distribution panels, including circuit breakers and fuses, and are commonly found in residential and commercial buildings.
- Junction Boxes: Junction boxes are used to contain and protect electrical connections and wiring splice points.
- Control Cabinets: These enclosures house control equipment for industrial processes, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and motor starters.
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs): MCCs are larger enclosures used in industrial settings to house motor starters and other motor control equipment.
- Outdoor Enclosures: Some electrical equipment is installed outdoors and requires specialized enclosures designed to withstand weather conditions.
National Electrical Code (NEC): The NEC provides guidelines and regulations for the installation and use of electrical enclosures to ensure safety and compliance with electrical codes.
Ventilation and Cooling: Some electrical enclosures may require ventilation or cooling systems to dissipate heat generated by electrical components. This prevents overheating and extends the life of the equipment.
Maintenance and Access: Electrical enclosures should be designed to allow easy access for maintenance and inspections. Lockable doors or covers are often used to restrict access to authorized personnel.
Hazardous Locations: In certain industrial or hazardous environments, electrical enclosures may need to meet specific standards to prevent the risk of explosions or fires.
Material and NEMA Ratings: Electrical enclosures are constructed from various materials, such as steel, aluminum, or plastic, depending on the application. NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) ratings classify enclosures based on their ability to protect against environmental factors.
In summary, electrical enclosures are critical components of electrical systems that provide protection, organization, and safety for various electrical components and equipment. The specific type and design of an enclosure depend on its intended use and the environmental conditions it will encounter.

Question: | How wide is this panel? I'm replacing a fuse panel, and it's a narrow cabinet that it is in |
Answer: | The rope is 1/2" diameter or 14mm. The reviewers who thought it was 3/8" were not correct and probably had the wrong product. |
Question: | Could someone tell me how far from the top of the box to the lugs where you screw down the wires coming from the meter |
Answer: | Rust Resistant - yes. However, the ones I left in the back of the truck, the spindle corroded a bit. Still usable, just doesn't turn as easy until you clean and oil it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come with the main break or should I buy it separately |
Answer: | I have a 99 TJ and it's a little loose, but I have my bike rack on the back so I like the fact that it's a little loose to cover it. It's easy to take on and off. If you are looking for a super snug fit, this probably isn't it. Does that help? |
Question: | Is this same panel available with a 100 amp main |
Answer: | 8” wide, just under 2’ long. 1lb 6oz in case you’re wondering that too! |
Question: | Does this load center accommodate tandem breakers, and if so, how many |
Answer: | It took a few days of conditioning the strings before it would reliably hold tuning. |
Question: | Can you use regularly QO breakers in this panel |
Answer: | Yes. Sounds good anyway. |
