Answer:	I bought this machine. It's very good and easy to clean. That was my priority. It has three levels of humidity. For some reason, the low setting has a high-frequency pitch that was very annoying even at 15 feet away from my bed. I have ringing in my ears all the time, and I can still hear this at night. There's no high-frequency pitch with the medium and high settings. I normally leave it medium to avoid the high-frequency tone but it uses water more quickly. Even though it's a very good humidifier, I couldn't tolerate the high-frequency pitch at the low setting.

Answer:	Hello This is MIRO. If I put the answer to this question first, that warning is more like preventive action than MIRO is including any harmful chemicals. MIRO is made out of food graded BPA free ABS plastic and we have test results saying that "no hazardous materials found.' If any customers want to see this result, I'd love to send out that. California states started to saying "coffee might cause cancer." and forced to put this CA Prop 65 sign on any business regarding coffee, while other States or world don't. Currently no chemicals inside of ABS plastic is found to cause cancer or birth defects though we do not guarantee that when California state would say they might. I hope this answers your question and hopefully this assures you. P.S. This humidifier is chosen by the best humidifier by 350,000 Korean mom's.

Same power, tanks, capacity, etc. • The BG10 has a detachable cord (yellow) and does not come with the spot cleaning wand. You'll pay extra for these items. • The 86T3 comes with the spot wand accessory and the power cord is not detachable. Answer:	No. You'll need 1/4" copper tubing, 6" duct tubing to go from supply side of humidifier to the return air duct, a suitable 6" circular duct to fasten to the hole you'll make in the return air duct, bell wire to run from controller to voltage reduction transformer. Do yourself a favor and get a roll of foil tape for taping up seams and leaks.

Answer:	Works quite well in my 2300 sf house. Was built in '92 so not too old but still not as sealed up tight like recent construction. From what I have observed, the humidifier doesn't run all the time and humidity levels have stayed constant even with fluctuating outside temps.

Answer:	Yes, it can be changed from left to right. Basically turn the main part of the unit upside down and switch the drain and plug from top to bottom. The name plaque can be removed and installed right side up. Quite simple design.
Question:	Can you direct the steam or does it come straight out the top
Answer:	I don't mean to say the same thing over again, Patrick said the same thing I'm going to say, but a new pad is all you will need in this unit. I'm also a hvac technican and April air 600ms are our humidifier of choice. I've seen some people who have such bad water the pad gets clogged mid winter, and I've also seen people who have bad water and have been using the same pad for years. rule of thumb to get the most out of your unit is to change the pad every year. You could get away with longer but why would you when you can get replacement pads for cheap at home depot. To install you will need 2 6" 90's, 6" flex duct, 1" zip screws, 2 wire, 3/4 inch pvc with fittings and glue, small piece of 1/2" vinyl tubing (optional), and a pair of tin snips. I would suggest hiring a professional unless you're an avid do it yourself type of person, but it's defiantly something a average homeowner COULD do with enough time and YouTube videos. As far as the solenoid, it almost never goes bad, like Patrick said they usually last around 10 years. I've seen some go bad in as little as 2 but those are 1 in 100 and factory defected. I hope this helps someone down the line.

Answer:	I use tap water and we have hard water. I think its better to use distilled water which we did at first but it took a gallon at a time and lasted for the night and then we had to refill. We stopped because its unnecessary plastic and spending extra money. I just clean the humidifier more often so there isn't any hard water buildup

Answer:	Proper cleaning is essential to the air quality and performance of your humidifier. The frequency in which your humidifier will need to be cleaned will vary depending on use, water hardness and outside environmental factors. It is recommended, assuming average use, to thoroughly clean weekly or when algae, mineral deposits or other particles begin to form. If the humidifier is turned off with water in the base and not turned back on for 8 hours or longer, or if humidifier is not cleaned as recommended, you may experience some growth of algae or bacteria. These microorganisms may become airborne. NOTE: Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents or other chemicals for cleaning. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn humidifier off, unplug from wall and disconnect the adapter from the base. 2. Remove water tank and empty tank and any remaining water in the base. 3. Rinse the mist tube located inside the water tank with clean tap water. Remove mist nozzle prior to cleaning mist tube. 4. On occasion the water tank may need to be gently wiped down or cleaned to remove buildup of impurities. Clean with a mild detergent and rinse with clean tap water. 5. Clean the base using a soft cloth or the cleaning brush (included) with a mild detergent and rinse with clean tap water. Do not submerge the base into water. 6. Locate the ultrasonic disk on the inside center of the base. Use the cleaning brush to gently clean the disk. Do not scrub or scrape the ultrasonic disk. Answer:	Either there's no water in it or the sensor for the water is broke preventing you from using it. Mine broke this way too.
