I believe with a HSA you can save money and use it towards anything that is considered medically necessary. I know there are some insurance companies that cover specific things and equipment, but humidifiers I am not sure about.I hope this helps.

Answer:	Are you using fresh water each day? I've had this for a month or so and haven't notched that.. I rinse it out and put fresh water in it each night, and have given it a good clean once a a week. I use young living thieves cleaner.. I spray the inside and use a small scrub brush and spray with the kitchen faucet sprayer.

2. Pour out all the water in the base.

Question:	The plug for mine no longer plugs into the back of my humidifier any recommendations for purchasing a replacement plug
Answer:	I am having the same problem. I’ve owned the Aircare 1201 for several years and it looks and works like new, but this winter season I’ve gone through several wicks. I use bacteriostat as always but with these wicks they will begin to smell sour after a couple weeks. I will soak them in water and white vinegar for 20 minutes, rinse well, and it helps for about a week and then the smell returns. The unit is perfectly clean and I clean and sanitize it per instructions, so something’s up with these filters. They must be manufactured from a difference source. This process is way too labor intensive and shouldn’t be necessary. Can’t handle the sour smell and thinking it may be worse than no humidifier. Would love a solution short of buying another unit that would use a different filter.

Answer:	Yes, I did and it works well. You may want to clean some of the yellowish build up, soaking the filter in a bucket with a mix of water and dish washer liquid for a few hours and then squeezing gently. Let it dry over a towel on a flat surface. I always keep a second filter just in case it gets damaged.
