They measure 6 1/2 " long by 2 3/4" wide, but because the filling is not full inside of each of the bags, they measure 4 1/2" long by 2 3/4" wide.We had to put 2 bags inside each shoe.due to the small size of the bags. After 3 weeks the shoes still smell slightly, and after wearing them for a day, the inserts had to be in the shoes for 3 weeks to get rid of most but not all of the smell. Better to wash then dry shoes, then spray with rubbing alcohol to sterilize the bacteria that causes the smell.

Answer:	While I'm not an expert on this product's molecular bonding to fabric, such as your hat, I assume what you're asking is possible. I put my sneakers in the other room when applying this product, because it is has a strong, but not offensive smell to it. There are "no-scent/scent free" hunting products (sprays, detergents, etc.) that are meant to mitigate odor, so I might pivot to those for something around my face.

Answer:	Mine is new and does not leak. However, I clean it multiple times a day. It is really low sided so many pets may accidently go over the edge. I'm using it temporarily for a kitten and it works well for that. However, after a year, the plastic could become damaged and start leaking on any box.
