The heat exchanger will get covered with minerals from the water over time and cuts down on the efficiency of the unit. This valve system simplifies the hookup of a pump in a bucket of white vinegar which you them hook up and ciruculate through the heat exchanger for approximately 45 minutes. note you put the pump in a 5 gal bucket of vinegar. install a water hose between the pump and the inlet connection of the heater. use another hose to connect to the outlet connection of the heater and run to to the bucket so it will be reciruculated as noted above 45 minutes |
