Answer:	The entire unit rotates. The fan itself is very powerful. The down side is the little oscillation motor...the little gears in them wear out and impossible to find replacement parts.

Answer:	Yes, you can. There are two hot wires going to the fan - black and blue. And one common wire - white. Wire the black and white to the fan switch. Wire the blue and white to the light switch. So you'll need a 12-3 cable (2 hots, one common, one bare copper ground). Disclaimer: I'm not an electrician, but I do all my own electrical, took home wiring as an elective in high school, and recently smoked a receptacle because I miswired it.

Answer:	Yes. You can shut the unit entirely off so that it (assumedly) consumes no power at all. We rarely use ours in the "thermostat" mode. The only time we do is when driving down the highway in hot weather, when our vehicle alternator keeps the battery full charged at all times. When in the RV, we set it manually (blow in, blow out, fan speed).

Answer:	From having looked at it before, wondering the same thing, yes. The feet are in fact removable by peeling back the bottom of the foot (an adhesive disk) and thus getting access to a Phillips head screw inside towards the top that secures it to the fan.

But the scent is my favorite and I have been buying them as gifts and for my own use for years. Question:	will this push the colder air in my full basement up to the main floor
Answer:	it moves quite a lot of air. if you put it at the bottom of a staircase and have a door open, i could see it doing that. the problem is then the draw, where is the air coming down into the basement from that will replace the air you are moving up? if it's from the same staircase then I could just see a loop.
