Question:	Does anybody get a loud rattling noise in the grill? The units vibrations are transferred to the front and its very loud rattling
Answer:	I've got my LG 8013er mounted on a piece of split rubber fuel line to isolate the bottom of the AC from the aluminum window sill. Still working great after 20,000 hours although I replaced the fan motor bearings after 3 years. The metal cabinets on window AC units are held on with just sheet screws and on these LG models the plastic tabs fit in little rectangular holes in the sheet metal tab. You can take an adjustable wrench closed down to the width of the sheet metal and raise that metal tab near the hole bending the sheet metal up a 16th of an inch or so. The plastic front fits much tighter then. The other place that sometimes rattles is the air direction vane mounting assembly. The LG models don't usually rattle there, but wedging something at one end or the other of the outflow vent where it pivots will stop that. The newer LG8017 has a screwed in front and a wired display that makes it a little more difficult to access and clean the front coils. This was probably a response to the complaints about rattles which doesn't require bending those sheet metal mounting tabs..

Answer:	Most likely, probably not the 8018 model because it’s a 75lb which is excessive for an 8,000 btu. Perhaps Friedrich. Since moisture is your concern, I’d suggest the LG, Friedrich, or new GE profile as they all have drain holes. The issue for me is usually how much light is let in, LG and Kenmore elite made by LG usually are good here, GE lights up a room through the vents (at least the ones at Walmart and Home Depot). Then use pan tabs. Or get a slide out with a drain hole. My Frigidaire made Kenmore (non elite) molded before the LG or Kenmore elite LGs we have, 1 season is all. No drain hole, always left the fan on, so seems an issue with humidity and lack of a drain plug. Because no light really came in the vents, decent build, I accepted no drain hole but don’t suggest it! Also if you Lysol regularly, it prevents mold on mold free surfaces. Go from the beginning. Avoid black louvers, it’ll hide an issue.

Answer:	Yes, it does a great job of cooling and a decent job of heating a room in our home. I would call it supplemental heat-if it isn't going to be super cold (-30), it should be fine!
Question:	Just purchased and am trying tk heat about 350 sq ft. it will not blow heat. its "warm" air. but we have it set to 75 and it feels ice cold... why
Answer:	I have it in my bedroom which is about 250 square feet. The air does feel cold but I have the put the thermostat at around 82 to start warming. After a couple of hours it gets too warm and then I lower it. I just use it to heat my bedroom when I need. I will usually go turn it on about a hour before bedtime.

Answer:	No nothing else :) Actually plants are fine to. The only precautions you need to take is people or animals because high doses of Ozone (this is a commercial very powerful unit) can cause lung irritants. Question:	Can this be installed in a standard window
Answer:	The odor from these machines is similar to that of outside air just after a lightening storm. It's is a fresh type of odor but keep in mind this unit is not tone used in occupied spaces - it is much too strong for that. The space should be aired out after use before the space is occupied. Also it is important to remember that the source of the odor you're trying to remove must be eliminated for this to work - it will remove it but will not keep it from returning.

Answer:	Yes it will please read my review I posted today. The one thing that must be done is remove anything that has biological waste on it the smell will remain on it no matter what. For example if you have a sub floor and a person died on the floor that floor has to go and maybe the joists or encapsulate the joists. Anything that can not removed like a concrete floor has to be encapsulated. But the odor does in fact permeates anything and everything nothing in a house is safe from that odor no matter how far away from the body even the attic, but this machine works, even for that. I know first hand.

Answer:	This produces ozone which is different from negative ions. You can stay in a room with a device that produces negative ions; whereas,. you cannot stay in a room with one that generates ozone (O3). This particular unit generates a lot of ozone for its size and price. I used it to finally clear out the lingering smell of cigarette smoke in a used car I bought 18 months ago.

Answer:	Thanks for your question. Yes, ozone can kill mold and remove the smell. However, the max ozone output of B50 is only 50mg/h, which means it will take much longer to kill them. Please clean up the surface with mold first, then close doors and windows and run the unit. Answer:	Spray with foam bathroom cleaner, let sit a few minutes then rinse off with warm water with your shower head. Let dry completely before returning to the unit. Works great for me.

Answer:	I will make sure that your filters are clean so you’re getting a good flow of air. And if it’s not blowing cold air at all it could be an issue with the compressor not coming on.

Question:	What is the height of this unit
Answer:	You shouldn't do that. Ozone is a recognized lung irritant and is corrosive to all kinds of surfaces, especially leather and plastics. In other words, plastic surfaces in the area will break down and become yellow and brittle. Indeed, the government (FDA) recommends against using ozone generators, although ozonated water is a lot safer than ozonated air. Consumer Reports has had some excellent articles on the topic. Google "ozone generator safety.'

Question:	What are the window dimensions for this unit
Answer:	Ozone is not deadly, it's an irritant. In fact and low concentrations it's actually beneficial for your body to breathe. Read about oxygen therapy. I have mine set on a timer in the kitchen it runs every hour 5 minutes or something. Great Little machines I'm looking for another one that has a timer like that but I can't find it. Before I bought one from my washing machine I used to take a cup of water ozonated for 5 minutes and then poured into the rinse and you could tell an immediate difference in the feel of your clothes much cleaner.

Answer:	I've never, ever heard of a warranty becoming void because a window or through-wall air conditioner wasn't installed by the seller. Freidrich does also make Ductless Split systems, and I CAN imagine the possibility of the warranty being void if a homeowner installs it, as it requires professional installation. (Mostly the evacuation and charging process, which needs to be done precisely or component failure could occur)

Answer:	For me, 8" on the inside, 10" on the outside, as measured flush from the respective window surface.
Question:	How do I use the remote control
Answer:	Mine was quiet for the first month. Now it rattles terribly when the compressor is running. I went through and added insulation to anything I thought may rattle, but it appears to be the actual compressor that is making the noise.
