Answer:	I am using alkaline and it is working fine. I read somewhere that using alkaline could shorten the life of the clock mechanism, but have not experienced that on any clock, and so far so good on this mechanism.

Question:	Please help. i have a 17 inch round clock that i have made. what size hands do i need? thanks in advance
Answer:	I'm not sure but the hands on this are very long. I was changing out the motor (3rd time in over 49 years) and had to re-use the old hands. I'm not sure about the overall size of my wall clock....would estimate face at 12-13 inches and click at about 18 and the hands with this motor extended beyond the face to almost the wooden edges of clock. I'm away from home so can't be more spefic, sorry

Kindly note:

- The hour and minute hands had a protective plastic coating that needs to be carefully removed.

- Be careful not to bend the hands with too much pressure.

- Do not tighten the brass hex nut too tight

- Press hard to get all clock hands in place

- Check if all hands are aligned

Answer:	Are you talking length or diameter of the shaft? Most clock use the same diameter shaft, if the shaft is to long you can use plastic washer's adjust the clock body into the clock!

Question:	Will alkaline battery damage the clock mechanism
Answer:	In my experience, alkaline batteries are suitable for use with this mechanism. Due to the low level power draw required for normal operation, the lifecycle of the battery's power may be extended. I suggest a periodic visual review to assure there is no failure or leakage from the battery's protective outer jacket.
