How to use: 

1.Strip the two wires that going to connect and select the right size of connector.

2.Thread the connector to one of the wires and then twist the two conductor together.

3.Move the connector to the middle of the conductor.

4.Apply heat to the connector slowly and evenly with a hot air gun with nozzle until it melt with the wire.

Note:

1. Some of our customers can use lighter to finish the joint, but we recommend that it is better to use a heat gun with nozzle to heat shrink the connector.
2. Please rotate the wire when you are heating or surround the wire to heat so that the tube was heated evenly.
3. 3-5 cm (1.18-1.96 inch) is the suitable distance we recommend from the nozzle to the connectors.

Answer:	I don’t know the exact rating but it is made for low-voltage like 12 V or 24 V connections. Not 120 V use.

Answer:	I would guess that they do not have enough solder, in the joiner, to be effective. Or there is not much call for that gauge wire, they can not be all things to all people. For that, strip the wires, place some shrink tubing on one of the wires, solder, let it cool, slide the shrink tube over, shrink it. Some times, when there is sufficient wire length, I place two different size shrink tube,. shrinking the smaller one first, letting it cool. The slide the larger one over the other.

Answer:	?? what gauge is the wire. Good system will have a thicker gauge. If you have strippers use them to figure out the gauge of the wire then buy the appropriate size crimp. These are really not meant for splicing but people do it all the time. You'll get a better connection with a crimp.

Made new wires with new connectors in the plug and then used these solder connectors to reattach about 26 connections. I messed up one. They don't melt fast with a regular heat gun but they did the job a lot better than the crimp connectors. I just ordered 200 more of the blue connectors so I will have them for the rest of my life, when I need them.

Question:	wouldn't this result in a cold solder joint? solder will melt before wire is up to temp
Answer:	Not based on my experience...having taken a few apart after I've completed them, they appear to be a reasonably good connection. Also, they don't melt immediately so there is some heating of that termination. Apart from a good mechanical integrity (and since I'm also using these for electrical circuits), I made a comparison to mechanical lug/crimps by measuring the resistance across the connection on the same wires. The mechanical crimp/lug was 2.5mΩ and the solder was 980µΩ. I don't think it would've been that good on a cold solder joint, IMO. When I used solder flux on the wires and then used the solder, it decreased that number by nearly 100µΩ. So, I think it's good. I'm very happy with these...

Answer:	From the shipping Material , The Communist China., PRC, There is no one that claims culpability on the product box. Looking into the name of the product, and company that owns it, i.e . distributes it, They are Asian, or Malaysian. Take note, f the shipping address is from California, count on it. The product is helpful, especially when you want a sealed connection. It is not as strong as soldering it and using shrink tubing yourself, but it is a time saver. So I give this product a thumbs up! However, I would pay 5 times the amount if it were manufactured in the USA. Thankfully we are bringing mfg. back jobs to America again. No Wait. Never mind.
Question:	Not clear from video: is the solder included inside each connector and all you need is heat gun? Do you have a version that connects 2 wires at 90 deg
Answer:	There is a little ring of solder inside of the connector. I bought these to try and while it seemed like a good idea. It does not work for my application. I do tremendous amount of wiring on exterior lighting for emergency vehicles and this really is not a practical solution for ensuring a good connection or a waterproof connection. In addition, it seems to take a lot of heat from a heat gun to melt the solder and it appeared to actually bubble and burst the connector which defeats the purpose of the waterproofing. I went back to soldering my connections and using a marine grade heat shrink. I have never seen anything like this that would connect 2 wires at 90 degrees. Hope this helps. Please keep in mind, this does not work for my application - it may work perfectly for you or others.
Question:	How hot does heat gun need to get to melt solder
Answer:	I never used a heat gun as it always has been too big ,too much heat, in too wide an area, to be able to hold on to the wire being connected. It will burn your fingers or hand. I use the heat from an ordinary solder gun without touching the connector and that works. Also a Bic disposable lighter or match but this usually leaved a black sooty film that I dont care for. However any heat gun will melt this low temperature solder.
Question:	Does it have any listing? (it doesn't have a UL listing
Answer:	I don't see anything like a UL listing. In reality it is a fancy soldered butt connector so most likely the wire involved may be the important safety factor

USING INSTRUCTIONS:

① Strip wire insulation 1/3 inch on both wire ends. Insert into the solder sleeve and twist the wire strands together.

② Continuously rotate the connector when using a heat gun to apply heat evenly around the solder until it flows into the wire strands.

③ Then apply heat to the two ends of the tubing until the adhesive flows and seals the wires.

④ Remove the heat and let it cool down for use.

NOTICE: It is advised to use a heat gun which is 1500-2000W and keep it a distance of 3-5cm to the solder connector when applying heat. The wire connector would easily broken if the heat is too close to it.

Question:	Would this be a good product to fix some wires on a pick up
Answer:	It would work in an excellent manner to repair automotive wires, this stuff is as good as MIL-SPEC grade solder sleeves.
Question:	If they don't have rosin, they don't connect in cars. Do these have rosin
Answer:	The solder ring is flux coated. It will flow as long as you get the temperature right and the wire is clean. That said, I have found them to work better/easier, by putting al little rosin flux on the wire first. You will get better flux coverage of all the strands this way. Liquid flux will probably work well too, but I just dip the end of the wire into a little rosin paste flux, then apply just a little heat with the heat gun to melt it into the strands. Smaller wires work very well as is, but larger gauge wire seems to benefit from a little added flux. If you think about it, it only makes sense because the larger the wire cross section, the more copper that needs to be coated and the more heat time to penetrate. They will all work as is, but I've found the above method to work a little better and easier. It does take a little practice to get the heat just right to where the solder flows well, but you don't overheat the heat shrink. Once you get the hang of it, they make a great connection for automotive wiring. I've done some trials with scrap wire and then cutting them open afterwards to verify a good connection. A good heat gun makes a big difference. Adjustable heat and the little curved deflectors made for wires, help to make perfect connections. You have to have a little patience at first and I recommend doing some practice connections the first time you go to use them. Much like it takes a little practice to make good solder connections with a soldering iron, I suggest that with these and you won't be disappointed. Just like in regular soldering, managing the heat is essential to make perfect connections vs. sloppy ones.
Question:	Can You solder this using small torch instead of a heat gun
Answer:	No, I would not do so because you'll get too much heat on the outer heat shrink and potentially not flow the solder. I have tried this with very limited success. Although a torch works fine for most heat shrink, the key here is getting the even heat at the right temperature to penetrate into the connector. Applying the right temperature heat is key to these working well. Getting the solder to flow right without burning the outer heat shrink, using a torch, is very difficult. You might get it to work, but you'll likely trash several connections in the process. A torch just applies too much concentrated heat on the outer surface, too fast. These connectors can work exceptionally well, but they're a bit tricky to get right. I would not recommend using a torch.

Question:

I need to splice individual 23awg solid core Cat6 wires. Could I get away with these or are they too big

Answer:

I used them for 22 gauge wire while I was putting in lights in my boat and they seemed too big to me. I made it work by doubling the wire over onto itself before I inserted it into the port but the heat shrink didn’t compress as tightly as I’d like for it to. So can it be done? Yes. But if you don’t want to have to make some modifications, then I’d suggest ordering something smaller. Hope this helps.
