Answer:	Mattress sits on an assembled platform, so it's not directly on the floor. We haven't taken the platform apart, but since it was relatively easy to put together, I would assume it would be easy enough to disassemble. The entire bed structure is sturdy and very well-built, though.

Answer:	No the night stand did not come with the bed. It was just the bed (no mattress) I do not have the night stand but am looking to purchase it when we move and my son can have his own room.

Answer:	The mattress is the same dimensions as a baby crib. Your kid is 42 inches long, and a standard crib mattress size is between 27 5/8 inches to 28 5/8 inches wide, by 51 3/4 inches to 53 inches long. It will be a little snug in there, but it's doable, for a while. Make a rectangle on the floor with cardboard or masking tape and put the kid in there - see what you think.

Question:	Would 4-5 years old fit on it
Answer:	It is a little small for a 4-5 year old. A standard crib mattress fits in to the bed, they would grow out of it quickly. My 3yr old moves all over during the night and hits the side (we took one wing off to make it fit against the wall) but he is a heavy sleeper so it is not a problem yet. I thought the bed, for the cost, was good enough quality for a bed kids are going to grow out of quickly. It does have quite a few pieces and it definitely something to put together without help from kids (at least mine who like to help with everything).
Question:	My boys would climb on the wings. Are they sturdy? They are 25-40 pounds
Answer:	They are surprisingly sturdy. I sat on one & I'm over 180lbs. My little one has been climbing on them since we got it well over a year ago.

Answer:	I would say very difficult! The instructions are very poorly written and I ended up looking at pictures of the finished product to get an idea of what I was doing! My son does love the bed so I'd say it was worth the trouble but be prepared for a 3 hr assembly job!

Answer:	Yes. It weighs about 25-30 lbs, but if you are used to picking up a toddler it will be easy for you to lift. Also- you could put a wash cloth or hand towel under the table on each side & it would slide very easily on tile. I push it around my tiled living room every time I vacuum. Answer:	If you want that, you could try looking up on Amazon the “Linenspa memory foam and innerspring hybrid mattress”. They have them in 8-inch as well as other heights, and in twin, as well as other sizes. It combines the box spring and mattress into one, and has awesome reviews. I think some other companies may also sell them besides Linenspa. Good luck!
Question:	What is the height from the floor to the platform
Answer:	On the lowest setting it sits about 8"-10" inches off the floor-- it's definitely less than 12". I'm not positive, but I believe it can also be adjusted to go higher if desired.
Question:	Can I just buy a mattress to put on top, without buying any box spring or bed base
Answer:	You don't need any box spring. I had the same question so I contacted KidKraft, which told me the distance from the slats to the top of the side rails is 2.75 inches. We went ahead to purchase a six-inch memory foam mattress, which works just well, although I do wish I picked something thicker, as when sitting on the edge, the memory foam sinks quite a bit and i feel I am sitting right on the frame.
