Invicta is a well-known brand that produces a wide range of wristwatches, including automatic watches for men. Invicta automatic watches have gained popularity for their unique designs, attention to detail, and affordability. Here are some key features and information about Invicta automatic men's watches:

  1. Automatic Movement: Invicta automatic watches are powered by automatic or self-winding movements. These watches do not require a battery; instead, they are powered by the movement of the wearer's wrist. The movement of the wrist causes a rotor to spin, which winds the watch's mainspring and keeps it running.

  2. Diverse Designs: Invicta offers a wide variety of designs and styles to cater to different tastes and preferences. You can find Invicta automatic watches with classic, sporty, or luxurious designs, making them suitable for various occasions.

  4. Water Resistance: Many Invicta automatic watches are designed with water resistance features, which can vary depending on the specific model. Some are suitable for everyday wear and can withstand splashes or brief immersion, while others are designed for diving and offer higher levels of water resistance.

  5. Chronograph Functions: Some Invicta automatic watches come with additional features such as chronograph functions, which allow you to use the watch as a stopwatch. This can be useful for timing various activities.

  6. Luminous Hands and Markers: Many Invicta watches feature luminous hands and markers, ensuring that you can read the time even in low-light conditions.

  7. Affordability: Invicta is known for providing high-quality automatic watches at relatively affordable prices compared to some other luxury watch brands. This makes their timepieces accessible to a wide range of consumers.

  8. Watch Collections: Invicta often releases watches as part of specific collections, each with its own theme and style. Some popular Invicta collections include the Pro Diver, Specialty, and Reserve lines.

  9. Sizing Options: Invicta offers a range of case sizes to accommodate different wrist sizes and preferences. Whether you prefer a smaller, more understated watch or a larger, bold statement piece, you can find options within the Invicta lineup.

  10. Warranty: Invicta typically provides a limited warranty on their watches, which can vary in duration depending on the specific model. It's advisable to check the warranty terms for the watch you are interested in.

Product description

With a bold design, this Invicta chronograph has a poised and calm ambience that’s sure to have you looking twice.

Classic styling and high performance add up to an outstanding sport watch for your land or sea adventures. This automatic watch, from Invicta's Pro Diver series, places a large round stainless steel case on a robust triple link steel bracelet. The black dial is designed for quick and easy read-off, even in low light conditions. It offers three-hand function with Tritnite-coated luminous hands and hour markers and a magnified date display at the three o'clock mark. The dial is capped with a resilient mineral crystal and framed by a black unidirectional rotating steel bezel with coin edge detailing. This watch is driven by Japanese automatic movement, which is visible through the see-through skeleton case back. It is rated water resistant to a full 660 feet (200 meters).

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. When this type of watch is removed from your wrist, the movement winds down in 10 to 72 hours, depending on the size of its winding reserve Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

User questions & answers

Question: Is there a self help on removing two or three links? I have the tools
Answer: Search "Invicta Link Removal" on You Tube. There are many videos, some are better than others. Pay attention to the direction of the arrows on the bracelet links.
Question: What is the difference between invicta 8926ob pro diver and invicta 17044 pro diver, the second is cheaper, what are other differences
Answer: They are pretty much the same watch and both have an Automatic Seiko movement (NH35A). The only difference I have found is the 8926OB face is more similar to the Rolex Submariner, with tabs instead of dots at the 3, 6 and 9 positions. Also, the loupe over the date window is slightly more powerful on the 8926OB, making it easier to read the date. I have both watches and prefer the 8926OB!
Question: Can enough links be removed to accommodate a 6.5" (approx.) wrist
Answer: Yes. I have a 6.25" wrist, and had to remove all but one link. So for a 6.5" wrist, removing all but 2 should be fine. The respondent above who said the links are graduated in size is mistaken. All the _removable_ links are the same size.
Question: What is the difference between 8926OB and 17044 ? Which is the better one
Answer: The 8926OB has straight indicese at 6 and 9 while the 17044 has round ones. The band width on the 8926 is 20mm while 18mm on the 17044. The case thickness on the 8926 is 11mm while 14mm on the 17044.17044 is a newer model (jan 2014) and the 8926OB is 2006 (with a new version in 2011). Also, the 17044 lists a "stopwatch" as a special feature.

An automatic watch is a mechanical watch that is self-winding. the movement of your wrist and body causes the rotor--a weight attached to an automatic winding mechanism--to wind up the watch. This automatic watch has 21 jewels that the gears turn on to protect the metal parts from grinding together. it needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time. If this happens, wind the crown ten times clockwise to start the watch and give it some reserve power.

Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.

About Invicta

Latin for "invincible," Invicta was founded in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland in 1837 by Raphael Picard, who believed that fine Swiss timepieces could be offered at modest prices. For more than a century, the company has created distinctive manual and automatic-winding pieces. In 1991, descendants of the Picard family reaffirmed the company's founding principle, and the invigorated Invicta has been growing ever since with one of the most widely diverse collections of precise Swiss timepieces on the market.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a new watch in the box
Answer: box papers etc...
Question: is the band solid? have the tmi nh35 mov
Answer: The Grand Diver has the NH35 movement. Waterproof to 300M. Mine runs at -5sec./day. I'm very pleased with this watch.
Question: Has anyone swapped the band out for something else like a Nato Strap? How easy was it to remove the band to replace it
Answer: Changing bands is fairly straight forward. I purchased the spring pin changing tool that makes the job a breeze. After removing the OEM steel band, I re-inserted the spring pins. Now changing ZULU or NATO bands takes about 10 secs. As easy as re-lacing your shoes.
Question: Gotta love amazon descriptions. description says swiss, yet on features says japanese and then country or origin china. what is it
Answer: This watch like most low cost watches today are made in China. The Swiss brand Invicta, dates back from 1837 and was bought a few years back, by a US watch maker in Florida. Some Invictas are made in Swiss and it will say at the bottom face of the watch. This watch in my opinion is built and assembled in China but that does not change a thing about the quality of this watch, which I happened to own. However, the engine is a Japanese Seiko new model nh35 24 jewels engine which makes that watch, a very desirable model. The big downside its the weight about 208grms. The heavy SS band is not screwed together but pinned. I would advise like I did, to replace asap the SS band with a robust quality rubber strap or NATO, because the SS band may break after a while. The watch is now only 138grms. For that kind of money, how can you go wrong...

User questions & answers

Question: Is the glass crystal on the watch rounded or flat
Answer: Its flat and smudges easily. Simply wash it under a faucet once in awhile. If there are No Dirt Particles or Sand I use a clean microfiber cloth to shine the crystal and watch band. Give it a first time manual wind using the screw in crown. My watch is keeping great time with my cell phone. Its not too fast or too slow.My screw in crown loosened on its own when wearing the watch. I check mine once a week and give it a manual wind. Mine was fine under a bathroom faucet using cold water. Unscrew the locking crown counter clockwise just until you feel the crown pop out a little. Now its in A. winding position. Next wind it clockwise 50 times. It should be good for 41 hrs. ( B. Date and C. Time do not wind the watch ) The customer service said screw the crown in until it stops but not too tight. My local jeweler said too tight can damage the crown. Do not adjust the Date between 9PM and 4AM to avoid malfunction. When setting the Time rotate the hands clockwise. Its better for the movement.
Question: Que batería usa
Answer: Es automático, le das cuerda la primera vez y luego se da cuerda solo con el movimiento de la mano. No necesita batería.
Question: How to adjust date indication
Answer: Pull the crown half way, that should allow you to adjust the date without changing time. If the minute moves, you passed the mid position.
Question: what is that little number on the side of the watch in black and white
Answer: Looks to me that you are inquiring abut the Date window. There are no other black and white numbers on the side of the watch. Sincerely

User questions & answers

Question: Porque usa pilas
Answer: Este modelo no usa pilas es automático, tiene una maquinaria Seiko.
Question: How to change the date
Answer: The unscrewed crown has 3 settings, pull out gently -first setting is manual wind function, second pull out setting is the date however you have to turn it counter clockwise to move and change the date and the third setting is to change the time. This watch works just like its $25000.00 dollar Rolex counterpart in functions.
Question: How does this differ from the 8930 besides the few bucks more
Answer: The only difference I can discern is the outer rim of the bezel (smoother on the 8930 vs. more Rolex-like on the 8930OB) and a slightly deeper gold tone on the bracelet ( the 8930OB). If you wind up purchasing either model, be sure to heed the warning about getting water under the crown since this will void the warranty. If this happens, it will cost you $28.00 to have the watch repaired at the Invicta facility in FL (plus the shipping cost). At that expense level it might be better to buy a new one rather than bear the expense of a repair.
Question: Does this have a crystal back plate
Answer: Yes!! You can see the mechanism of the automatic movement easily from the back of the watch through the solid crystal back.

This is especially true when they display automatic movements. Automatic movements stem from mechanical movements with one key difference: a mechanism automatically winds the timepiece's mainspring as opposed to forcing the wearer to manually wind. This occurs thanks to a weighted rotor that spins on its own axis, continually charging the mainspring. Timepieces with automatic movements are meant to be appreciated for the craftsmanship and complex aesthetic that they provide and are a must-have for any watch enthusiast!

Classically styled with powerful lines and featuring a precise Japanese watch movement, the shock-resistant Invicta Grand Diver men's stainless steel watch is made for serious scuba fanatics with a water resistance rating to 300 meters (nearly 1000 feet). This large, round watch measures 47mm wide (1.85 inches) and 17mm thick (0.67 inches) and it's made from solid surgical grade stainless steel. It also offers a skeleton see-through caseback and molded diving helmet logos on the end pieces connecting the silver stainless steel bracelet band as well as on the screw-down crown. It's topped by a blue unidirectional rotating elapsed time bezel with white markings. The blue dial face is supplemented by Tritnite luminous dotted markers and arrowhead-style hands (with seconds hand). Other features include an anti-reflective crystal with magnifier, date function at 3 o'clock, and diver's buckle with safety clasp.

Pro Diver Collection

Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.

Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

User questions & answers

Question: Why does the description say batteries included if this is an automatic
Answer: I don't know. It's probably a typo. It in fact does not use batteries. Had to shake it 20 times to start and with regular wear I have never had to worry about it stopping. Being an automatic it will lose time gradually however. I reset mine once every 2 weeks. (Just a heads up)
Question: Not that it matters anyway because if the band is too small i'll pay for extra links, but just out of curiosity how long is the bracelet on the watch
Answer: According to Invicta website, they state 215mm. Also, what I have done is ordered a extra long nylon premium 22mm navy blue 'ZULU' strap to make the watch look even more sportier. Now I have the option of wearing the metal band or the strap depending on the occasion.
Question: How do i manually wind this watch if i wanted to? I have read that it is hackable, but i dont know what it means
Answer: Its very easy to wind this watch manually, just take a look on youtube how to wind automatic watch
Question: Esse relógio e original ou replica
Answer: I sell genuine Invicta, complete with all paperwork. The original box is actually white on the one that I have in stock currently.

An automatic watch is a mechanical watch that is self-winding. the movement of your wrist and body causes the rotor--a weight attached to an automatic winding mechanism--to wind up the watch. This automatic watch has 24 jewels that the gears turn on to protect the metal parts from grinding together. it needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time.
