Answer:	Nope...but a rubberized surface would be harder to clean. Get some tacky shelf liner stuff and put it on there. That stuff is cheap and you can remove it to clean, but it wont stay on if you fold it up and lean it somewhereIf you are carrying something like this with plates and glasses and trip a bit, you might actually prefer the stuff to slide a bit. If it didn't, glasses and such would actually fall over more easily.Physics.

Answer:	No, I wouldn't say it's flimsy. My husband recently had surgery and I've used this bed tray a lot. I've put all his meals on it. I've not had any problems with it. It has been very helpful to us.

Answer:	No, we had no trouble at all with assembly. All holes did line up. Once assembly is finished & desk is put in it's final place it is very sturdy. My son who is the one using it, loves it.
