User questions & answers
Question: | Does this come with the accesories in the picture |
Answer: | Everything that is in the picture comes in the case. |
Question: | If my daughter is 10, what size should I get |
Answer: | I got the 4/4 size however my grandaughter has the 7/8 and she is 10. The violins are so close in size its hard to tell the difference however her bow in lenght is shorter. |
Question: | Would this 1/4 fit a small 7 year old |
Answer: | 5 -7 yrs about 18"arm span 1/47-9yrs about 20"arm span 1/2 |
Question: | Can this be used as a fiddle |
Answer: | The bridge is the difference. A fiddle is a violin with a flatter bridge and a violin with a rounded bridge is played in the classic style and just called violin. Fiddle, as some mentioned is related to folk, country western, zydeco, bluegrass, folksy types of music. This is because the flatter bridge allows one to play chords more easily by making it easier to bow two or more strings at once. Whereas a standard violin with rounded bridge is easier to bow single notes as one would in an orchestral setting. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these work on electric violins |
Answer: | Cecilio CVN-200 has bright and clear sound. Mendini MV200 and MV300: same quality but with different finish. Both have mellow and warm sound. Mendini MV400: Ebony fittings, has bright and clear sound Mendini MV500: Ebony fittings, has deep rich and powerful tone |
Question: | how many strings come in these packets? is it just one, all or half |
Answer: | you have to tune it and rosin up the bow |
Question: | Are these ball ends |
Answer: | This is because the pegs are not tapered to fit the pegs. They are only drilled straight through. They must be hand fitted for the pegs to stay put after tuning. These instruments take many shortcuts to make them cheaper. That is a big problem as the student will get frustrated (and so will their teacher) and all too often will quit playing because of the cheap method of construction. Do Not Buy Any Super Cheap Instruments!!! Would you expect a super cheap car to be reliable and safe? Of course not!! Why do you think this is different? |
Question: | I´m just learning to play. What does medium, heavy, light tension mean? Which should I buy |
Answer: | It does not come with extra set of string. |

Mendini MV500 Violin
With its deep, rich and powerful tone, the Mendini MV500 comes highly recommended by our customers and is a step-up instrument from all beginner Mendini models, making it an ideal choice for any beginning or experienced student. It possesses a superior tonal quality and exceptional ability to project, creating a strong and sensuous sound that resonates beautifully and has the potential to really sing. The MV500 displays an attractive, dark design that gives the impression of antiquity, and is designed to be reliable, lasting several years before the student will need to consider upgrading. With its beautiful quality and design, the Mendini MV500 is an excellent violin for an affordable price.
How to choose violin sizes
Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.
To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The following table lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.
If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.
Eastar EVA-2 Violin with Finger Guide on Fingerboard
- The original intention of this violin design is to help beginners quickly find the position, strictly follow the violin fingering position during the initial study and daily training, and form a good muscle memory.
- It should be noted that the tuning of the violin is not an easy task. If you find that the EVA-2 tuning in your hand is difficult, please search for a professional tuning course. Novice tuning is easy to break the strings, so be sure to learn to tune and then tune yourself.
Size of a Violin
Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest.
To measure what size violin best suits you. You need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use.
Learning Finger Guide
Innovative use of finger plates inlaid with muscovite to help students quickly find the appropriate position to better master the violin playing skills.
Eliminate the energy and expense of buying fingerboard stickers, the board points are very clear, and there will be no reflection under the light.
Practice Bow
Unbleached Mongolian horsehair, natural, tough. The violin bow is a consumable item, please pay attention:
1: The bow is a relatively fragile accessory. If it is used improperly, the bow of the bow will break or partially fall off. The bow lacking part of the bow can be used continuously.
2: The new bow is not able to sound, you need to apply the rosin powder.
Set a Bridge
The bridge should be left high and low right, and the bridge should coincide with the midpoint of the vi hole of the violin.
When setting a bridge, please first loosen the violin string. After placing the bridge in place, the string is inserted into the limit of the bridge, and the tuning can be used normally.
Fine Adjustment Knob
The function of the fine adjustment knob is to help the violinist to make parts for tuning.
- Loosen the adjustment knobA
- Adjust the violin neck knob to about 10 cents lower than the standard tone.P
- Press the top knob to fix the pitchG
- Gently tighten the knob until the pitch is exactly positionedA
- Adjust A D first and then adjust G E
Note: It is common for the string instuments that the state of new strings are unstable. It takes a few more tunings to stabilize the pitch.
Adjust a Chin Rest
You can adjust the tightness of the chin rest with a small screwdriver, or you can change the sapling of jujube or ebony according to your own style.
Rosin can increase the friction of the bow and strings to make the violin sound. Please use rosin before playing.

Answer: | Only one . easy to use. |
Question: | My daughter was trying to tune her violin (she's twelve and just starting out) and the bridge fell off. Is it difficult to put back on |
Answer: | The top button changes the pitch: ie 440 (which is standard pitch) to a faster pitch and turns the tuner off and on. The bottom button changes the instrument to be tuned: violin, viola, cello & base. Hope this helps. |
Question: | what bridge does this come with |
Answer: | The clip opens to 1 1/4 inch at the widest. Don't know if that's large enough for your bass. |
Question: | Does the actual violin that will ship look anything like this |
Answer: | It responds as quickly as any tuner meaning you can check long notes, but not short ones. However, the center markers for pitch are white with yellow ones on each side which means there's little contrast to see while you're playing. So I think it would be tough to monitor your pitch while playing. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do you recommend this violin over the Stentor 2/1500 for a beginner |
Answer: | Personally ive seen and heard the stentor and it is lower quality and cheaper than this violin. The stentor isnt an intermediate violin. This is the higher end almost professional violin. I highly recommend this. |
Question: | en que pais se fabrica el violin cecilio cvn |
Answer: | All of our instruments are manufactured in China and shipped from our warehouse in Southern California. |
Question: | does the case in the photo come with the violin.. one customer said it didnt |
Answer: | Yes. I purchased this violin about six months ago and the case in the picture came as part of the package. You get everything you see in the picture. The case is not the nicest you will see, but it is decently sturdy and has two shoulder straps along with a top carrying handle and a side carrying handle. |
Question: | Do you recommend this violin for a beginner or an intermediate level student |
Answer: | Definitely good for both. Great quality that will last you through years of playing. I own five violins and have played 15 years- it's not my favorite of them all, but a great practice violin with good quality tone. |

Cecilio CVN-500 Violin
With its rich and full tone, the Cecilio CVN-500 is a step-up instrument from our beginner Cecilio models and comes highly recommended by our customers as a reliable and effective instrument for students who want ease of play and exceptional longevity. The Cecilio CVN-500 comes with everything a beginning or experienced student would need to continue their education at the pace that suits them best. With its superior tone and clarity, ebony fittings and fingerboard, and ability to produce a sound both open and sweet, students can feel confident that their instrument will provide an enjoyable and pleasing experience for both violinist and audience.

Eastar EVA-3 Violin with learning Point Matte
Eastar EVA-3 violin is an innovative violin set, the innovative use of finger plates inlaid with muscovite can help students find the appropriate position.
There are two important points to note here:
1. The neck of the violin is white without paint, all of the neck of high-grade violins are not colored, otherwise the hands will sweat and slip when playing.
2. When tuning with the peg, press it inward slightly. Try to watch professional violin tuning teaching videos on relevant video websites.
How To Choose Violin Sizes
1. Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest.
2.To measure what size violin best suits you.
Set a Bridge
The bridge should be left high and low right, and the bridge should coincide with the midpoint of the vi hole of the violin. When you follow the bridge, you must loosen the violin string. After placing the bridge in place, the string is inserted into the limit of the bridge, and the tuning can be used normally.
Come with Violin Tuner
Multifunctional digital display tuner with twelve even rhythms. The backlight feature tunes in at night as well. Simple and portable:
- Start the tuner, clip the tuner to the head of the violin and select Function V.
- The tuner backlight will show green when the tone is accurate.
Note: It is common for the string instuments that the state of new strings are unstable. It takes a few more tunings to stabilize the pitch.
Metal Fine Adjustment Knob
The function of the fine adjustment knob is to help the violinist to make parts for tuning.
- Loosen the adjustment knobA
- Adjust the violin neck knob to about 10 cents lower than the standard tone.P
- Press the top knob to fix the pitchG
- Gently tighten the knob until the pitch is exactly positionedA
- Adjust A D first and then adjust G E
Adjust a Chin Rest
You can adjust the tightness of the chin rest with a small screwdriver, or you can change the sapling of jujube or ebony according to your own style.
Rosin can increase the friction of the bow and strings to make the violin sound. Please use rosin before playing.

Eastar EVA-330 4/4 Solid Wood Violin Set with Two Bow
- The original intention of this violin design is to help beginners quickly find the position, strictly follow the violin fingering position during the initial study and daily training, and form a good muscle memory.
- It should be noted that the tuning of the violin is not an easy task. If you find that the EVA-330 tuning in your hand is difficult, please search for a professional tuning course. Novice tuning is easy to break the strings, so be sure to learn to tune and then tune yourself.

Note: It is common for the string instuments that the state of new strings are unstable. It takes a few more tunings to stabilize the pitch.
Solid wood Inlay
The EVA-330 is a solid wood violin with a fuller tone and a brighter sound than the platen line violin. The both sides of the violin is inlaid with copper wire, which can protect the wood of the violin.
The wood will be slightly deformed during storage. The inlaid copper wire is more beautiful than the painted line and can prevent the wood from being portable. Damage to the structure of the violin.
Practice Bow
Unbleached Mongolian horsehair, natural, tough. The violin bow is a consumable item, please pay attention to two points.
1: The bow is a relatively fragile accessory. If it is used improperly, the bow of the bow will break or partially fall off. The bow lacking part of the bow can be used continuously.
2: The new bow is not able to sound, you need to rub the rosin powder to have a sound.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this violin play with earphone? Does it include the fine adjustment on the strings |
Answer: | I have a small kong for a small dog. I inserted the milk bone into the kong and it did not fall out. It only took my dog, a Shitzu-French Poodle mix, about 3 minutes to get the treat out. |
Question: | Is this violin can play without electric too? can it play a regular violin |
Answer: | Distributed by does not mean 'Made in the USA.' They are distributed by Del Monte, but nowhere on the box does it say where the treats are currently baked, where the origins of the ingredients come from, etc. When in doubt, they're likely Made in China. Taken from the back of the box, "We made our first biscuit over a century ago in a little bakery on the Lower East Side of New York City. We still use the same high quality and wholesome ingredients to make the original bone-shaped dog treat." This wording is deceiving if you only read this statement once. Sure they WERE made in NYC more than 100 years ago, but do you think they are doing that now? I found no website (except for the unreliable Wikipedia) stating that Milkbones are made in the US. Can someone prove otherwise? |
Question: | How would you plug this in for headphones? I don't want to disturb my housemates |
Answer: | Yes these expire but i takes more than a year the ones i got, Well they are all ready gone my dog love them |
Question: | Does this violin kill demons |
Answer: | These are made for dogs. I don't think a human would want to eat them or like them. |
