Answer:	We use ours in a Murphy bed and there is no room for a box spring. We had to buy a foam mattress topper as the mattress is very firm (hard) and not comfortable without the topper.

Answer:	This mattress is not firm at all. When you sit on the edge, you will sink to the frame. I bought the 8" mattress, and never expanded beyond 5-6", and only about 2.5" in the corners. I sleep alone, and constantly found myself rolling toward the center and sinking. I only weight 140 lbs. I would not recommend this mattress.

Answer:	You can place it on metal slats, depending upon how it will be used. I'm a big guy...250#s +. I found it more comfortable on a well made set of box springs.

Answer:	Mine was just installed in a 25 inch wide area, however, the spot would have been too tight to work in if I hadn't been able to move drawers, etc, and find work to put in the mounting screws. Temporarily, I created enough room to get under and work, no problem. But the area is bounded to 25 inches.

Answer:	The platform is as sturdy as what you're mounting it on. To explain, I've got mine mounted on a metal hutch that in itself has a little play, so it bounces ever so slightly (if you were to mount it to wood, I'm sure you wouldn't have any bounce, or very minimal at most). The pull-out mouse tray is a bit flimsy, so we don't put much weight on it. I've had no problems with mine. I use it at work for my shipping & receiving person who has to stand, and again have had no problems it.

Answer:	This is an excellent mattress for the top bunk. It’s comfy even if we lay w/her for a bit and fits well in their more shallow bases, so we didn’t fear her rolling/slipping out. We got one for our daughter’s IKEA bed (close slat base), another for our son’s loft-bed (flat, solid base) then ordered a third for our guest room daybed. That had wire mesh base and was for an adult, so if had a couple hard-ish spots after a few days. BUT we added a flat (thin plywood) platform underneath & grabbed an inexpensive quilted mattress pad and she said it was great (180lb 5’7” older female visiting 3 weeks). So I’d say this is a GREAT kids bunk or guest room option.

Answer:	Idk. I ordered 3 of these pillows in firm. One was very firm and the other two were a lot softer but all three were firm according to the label. We wanted them all to be very firm so it was a little disappointing.

Answer:	It depends on the diameter of the circle on the legs of your bed frame. These are very strong risers. I think I would just buy them and see. You could also place a large metal washer in the riser first.
Question:	I do not have a box spring in my bed. My bed is made out of wood slats with the matress on top of the wood slats. Will the Avana matress still work
