Answer:	I don't know why you couldn't. I just have a mattress on mine because I am using the foundation to hold my new gel/foam mattress.

Question:	Can you hook this to a bed frame
Answer:	Clearance from the bottom of the frame to the floor is exactly 13 inches. I currently have four 30.6 QT Weathertight® Tote with reinforced buckles (7¾ inches tall) from The Container Store. Even with the 4 bins there I still have about 5½ inches between the bottom of the bed and the buns. Hope that helps and good luck!
