| Answer: | My wife and I slept on ours for less than a year. The memory foam on both sides started collapsing after a few months, but it was still comfortable to sleep on (I'm a back/side sleeper. My wife is a side/front sleeper). However, over time, the dips got much worse to where I was waking up with extreme pain in my middle back. My side of the bed had a large flat area where the memory foam was completely collapsed. Even my wife's side had collapsed most of the way (120lbs her vs 200lbs for me). We took the topper off and went back to the original mattress underneath, which was 16 years old at that point, and sleep much better on it - though it is quite a bit firmer. I had high hopes for memory foam based on the reviews. I suspect most of these reviews are posted when the topper is new and I would agree at that point - it was wonderful - like sleeping on a cloud. I just wish it hadn't collapsed... I may try to get one from a local store with a long return policy, since my experience with this shows that it showed signs of failure after just a few months. |
