Answer:	No. It is not breathable. Traps body heat in bed in a way that was never an issue until we started using this cover. I like that it’s thin, soft and waterproof, but this sweating issue is intolerable and I will be removing it now.

Answer:	I bought it for this reason and after a weekend away and my kitten finding it, cat pee is stuck on my brand new 2 mattresses. Completely bummed as this was the entire reason we bought it. It looks and feels like total fabric - no vinyl/polyester feel anywhere which is HOW it is actually waterproofed. Totally disappointed and may need to buy 2 more mattresses.

Answer:	This pad is THIN, 1/8-1/4" depending on how much you compress it when measuring. I do have to hunt for the thicker ones, as they are hard to find in the low-end chain stores, so I was surprised that it was not any thicker, more plush like i had hoped.

Answer:	I can't find the content label on the mattress pad (I may have cut it off) but I believe that the top is cotton -- it's very soft. The sides are polyester, I think -- much nicer than my previous mattress pad, which had a very flimsy "fabric" which shredded after a few washings. I am very happy with the quality of this pad.

Question:	Should you washing before using it
Answer:	I had planned on washing it before I received it for Cleanliness reasons. After I received it I saw how full and fluffy it was. I have a large capacity washing machine which would’ve handled it very nicely but I doubt that it would have fit in my dryer which is just a normal size dryer That would’ve meant taking it to the laundry mat which I did not want to do so I put it on the bed unwashed. I feel with a sheet over it it is clean enough and I preserved all of the fullness that might’ve been reduced a little in the wash.

Answer:	The fitted sheet that's sewn into it is rather large, it would "fit" but not be fitted. There would be a lot of loose fabric underneath.

Answer:	It may say it comes with a warranty but they didn't respond to my complaint about it puckering up and causing lumps under my back resulting in pain! I don't recommend it. I've had many toppers throughout the years and this is the first one to do this. It's a 3 inch thick with the little holes that are supposed to make it cooler. The one I got from Costco lasted years never slipped off my bed and didn't pucker up like a crumpled piece of paper wadded up under my back all night! I paid more at Costco but they'll always take things back! After a month it said it was not eligible for return!

Answer:	Cool and comfortable. My husband, who sleeps hot, thought this was the best thing I had ever bought. Answer:	It certainly softens a firm mattress. Some comments on here said it's like sleeping on a cloud but I don't really agree with that. Answer:	It sounds like you are doing it correctly but need to use more squeezing force on the tabs to unlock both of them. I will summarize two methods. (1) In the first method (as above) one must squeeze both tabs hard enough to unlock both sides of the plug while at the same time pulling the plug apart. To accomplish this, one grasps opposite ends of the plug between the thumb and index (or middle) finger of each hand using one hand to squeeze (unlock) both tabs at the same time using the remaining hand to pull the plug apart. You should be able to see the tabs move together slightly when squeezing them. (2) The second method requires less strength and unlocks one tab at a time. Start the separation of one side by squeezing its tab to unlock it (using the index finger and thumb of one hand) and rotating (pivoting) it out of the connection using the remaining hand. The hand motion while holding the ends of the plug is the same as breaking a twig by grasping opposite ends of the twig and rotating your hands in the opposite directions-until the twig snaps. If successful, this step unlocks one tab and leaves the remaining tab still locked. Now repeat the pivoting motion (in an opposite rotation direction) to rotate out the locked tab. If done successfully both sides of the plug are released (one at a time) and will easily pull apart. Sorry this is a bit lengthy. Good luck…

This bamboo topper that I put over it (yes, I bought a topper for a topper) alleviated the problem; I didn't feel overheated even during our 100+ summer days/nights. For me, the difference was very clear: uncomfortably overheated before, comfy-cozy after. In addition, those discerning connoisseurs of comfort, my cats, strongly endorse the new bedding arrangements, sprawling all over the bed day and night like a furry set of throw-pillows. Your mileage may, of course, vary; but it sounds like a reasonable thing to try and a lot easier than wrestling that Tempur-Pedic back to the shop! You can always return the bamboo topper it if it doesn't work out for you.
