Answer:	Yes, the blanket it's self is washable but it comes with two duvet covers. One for summer and one for winter. I've never washed the blanket, simply because it's so heavy it seems like it would just be a giant pain in the butt. I will probably only wash it every 6 months or so, because I constantly keep it covered with one of the two duvets and just wash those weekly.

Answer:	The issue is not just the weight of the blanket, but also the size of the blanket. If you compare a 48x72 blanket at 15lbs to a 60x80 blanket at 15 lbs, they will feel quite different. The weight is the same, but the weight distribution is wider the larger the blanket. I weigh about 190 lbs, and vendors suggest I buy 20 lbs weight; I sleep on a twin bed, and vendors suggest I buy a 48x72 blanket. So I bought a 48x72 blanket at 20 lbs. I felt crushed by the weight, and the blanket kept falling off of me whenever I rolled over at night, so it was too small. I then bought what I thought I should have bought in the first place, based on common sense = a 60x80 blanket at 15 lbs and I love it. I then later found out on the internet that this size and weight is favored by 90% of adults. I agree!

Answer:	I tend to run warm so I worried about being too hot under it as well but I have been pleasantly surprised by how comfortable I am. It is super soft and snuggly, and I fall asleep all covered up in it. I do wake up sometimes because I am getting too warm, but his would happen to me with a duvet cover so this is nothing new! To sum up, despite the weight, and the “cozy heat” cover, I do not think it is any hotter than sleeping under a regular set of covers. In fact I would say I stay under it more regularly than I did with my old blankets.

Question:	Hello, can some body help answer how do you wash this blanket
Answer:	It’s a pain in ass. Either it’s hotter than the designated blanket is designed for. This can happen if blsnket is folded.,the heat build up. Or, blanket us folded and there is weight on it or scrunched somewhere. So the inner wire gets crimped. It States but not meant if you gave pets who sleep with you, their weight can crush the delicate wiring. It throw is designed to be used spread completely flat across you while sitting in chair. Not really to snuggle under
Question:	when i first turn the blanket on, the dial lights up for about 5 seconds, then the light turns off - is the blanket on? anyone else
Answer:	It seems to only heat on the lowest temp setting and then shuts down
Question:	Can you buy the controllers separately? The controllers now get really hot and my son in law doesn't feel they are safe now
Answer:	This would depend on the room temperature. The blanket is not designed to hold the heat when turned off. It would naturally hold body heat.

Answer:	The same for our sunbeam blankets and we have 3 all are not working after owning for less than 1 year. I’ll try a different brand on my next purchase

Answer:	The twin and double do NOT have dual controls. Queen and king do.
Question:	I have a sleep number with adjustable head and foot. Will this work on it when head and/or foot raised without comming off
Answer:	No, you should not use a heated mattress pad or warming layer with an adjustable bed. I have a Sleep Number bed that is adjustable. I purchased a Sleep Number bed "warming layer", thats what they call it, for a Christmas present for us. When we went to make the bed, my husband noticed on the packaging, "Do Not Use With An Adjustable Foundation Bed". So, I called the Sleep Number customer service number and was told to return it for a full refund because it becomes a fire hazard with the constant rising and lowering of the bed. It bends the wires/coils over time and makes it dangerous to use. They said they are working on the technology to create one that can be used with an adjustable bed. They also said if we nevered used the adjustable feature it would be safe to use, however, my husband and I set up the head of the bed to watch tv every night. I hope this helps!
