User questions & answers

Question: Can you view images directly on camera
Answer: No, you can not.
Question: Moultrie A900 don’t take pictures at night can you tell me why
Answer: I couldn't get it to take pictures at all day or night unless it was inside the house. I would put it up side by side with another camera outside and it still wouldn't work, even when a bear walked in front of it. May have been a dud but that doesn't explain why I could set it on my kitchen counter and it would take a picture every time I passed in front of it.
Question: Does this have the Moultrie 2 year warranty
Answer: Yes,

User questions & answers

Question: What size is plug end
Answer: I don’t ‘now, I’m sure Moultrie listed that information on the product’s information sheet. Good luck!
Question: Does this work with your new att ( xa7000) camera
Answer: Yes works for ice fishing as well
Question: If you can use a rechargable battery box, why cant you use rechargable batteries
Answer: I use "rechargeable" batteries for my cameras but Ni-MH are all 1.2v and the recommended alkaline batteries are 1.5v. So, are at 80% strength upon initial installation. My 180i consumes battery power so last about a week, 12 AA batteries. So, the battery box has a very large capacity, and can power a camera that is a long distance away. If you install a solar power panel, it will require no battery switch out. The only thing that would be semi usable to this would be lithium AA batteries rated at 1.5 volts versus 1.5 volts and buying 12 of those would cost a lot more. The only thing I questioned Moultrie on was 12 AA batteries in the 180i camera was that is 18 volts, not 12, but confirmed this 12 volt box is compatible.
Question: will this power a GardePro trail camera
Answer: If you have the correct adapter it will power any of many game camers I have. I do like the game camera that has a solar charger

Moultrie P-120i Game Camera

The Moultrie P-120i will broaden your perspective on what a game camera can do. The P-120i has a panoramic 120° field of view (a standard camera typically has a 45° field of view). You can do a lot of scouting with that kind of coverage. The P-120i comes with our iNVISIBLE infrared LED flash technology, resulting in images of wildlife that are more natural and candid. And with a trigger speed of just .5 seconds, game won’t escape capture—each image detailed, sharp, and clear due to 20-megapixel image resolution. The P-120i has a detection range and flash range of 70 feet. There’s a color display and 1080p HD video to enhance the visual experience. You’ll get up to 15,000 images before you need to change the eight AA batteries.

Depend on it

Moultrie game cameras are known for two things, image quality and reliability. Image quality is the result of the technology we put into our cameras. Reliability is the result of how we build our cameras. They’re made to be dependable. But just in case, we also back our A, M, S, and P-Series game cameras with the peace of mind.

Solar power capable

Adding a Moultrie Camera Power Panel to your Moultrie game camera can reduce or eliminate the need to replace batteries. Power panel has a built-in 12-volt battery and works on Moultrie cameras made in 2007 and later.

iNVISIBLE Infrared LED

To capture images of game in their most natural state of activity requires stealth. No glow capabilities like Moultrie’s iNVISIBLE Infrared LED flash are the ultimate in nighttime illumination because it is virtually impossible for its flash to spook an animal.

Illumi-Night 2 Sensor

The sensor on a game camera takes the information captured by the flash and converts it into the digital image you view on your computer or smartphone. The quality of the sensor determines the quality of the image. Moultrie’s latest generation Illumi-Night 2 Sensor provides the sharpest and clearest image quality available.

Moultrie features and Moultrie quality

A game camera can have a long detection range and it won’t matter if the flash can’t reach that far. Moultrie always offers illumination capabilities that match or exceed the camera’s detection distance.

Moultrie Mobile

This Moultrie game camera is Moultrie Mobile compatible. That means you can view the very latest images captured on your camera from the comfort of your home or the convenience of your smartphone. And that means no more trips to the game camera just to pull the SD cards and download images.

Quality images day and night

It’s one thing for a game camera to produce quality images in the daytime. It’s a completely different matter to do it at night. It takes advances like Moultrie’s Infrared LED technology and Illumi-Night Sensor to produce the clearest nighttime images possible. Because of advances like these, Moultrie trail cameras have a reputation for performing equally well day or night.

Trigger Speed

One of the key measures of trail camera performance is trigger speed. Generally speaking, a faster trigger speed means there’s less chance of missing the animal. But field of view is also a factor since a really fast trigger speed could take a picture before the animal is fully in view. Moultrie designs its cameras to strike a balance between trigger speed and field of view to provide the best images possible.

User questions & answers

Question: How do the batteries hold up in cold weather
Answer: Battery life sucks! Tried this for for 5 months. Tried several different types/brands of batteries. Camera was set to record 15 second video. Batteries only last about 3 days of camera used only at night with limited captures. First and second day had full video. Third day, all video only recorded at less than 5 second length each. Apparently as soon as battery voltage drops only slightly, camera cuts back video dramatically. Replaced batteries after 3rd day, camera functions correctly. All batteries removed and tested and only showed a slight drop from new batteries (used batteries worked fine in flashlight).
Question: Can you loom at images in the field? Does it have an ir night mode or flash
Answer: This camera does not have field viewing capability. The LCD Screen is for programming only. Regarding IR, this camera is one of the better ones for night photos.
Question: Can u set this camera to take images at certain times of day and turn off the motion capture
Answer: owners manual: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/B1iz%2B1qPEyS.pdf "• Field Scan 2x with Live Trigger-The “time lapse” feature added in last year’s models has been enhanced with the addition of the option for a second block of recording with its own start/stop times. Trigger signals generated by nearby wildlife activity will still generate additional photos/videos as they normally would, independently of the Field Scan operation."
Question: Is it waterproof? What happens on the trail after a heavy rain
Answer: the camera is waterproof, never gets wet inside. Great camera.
