Answer:	Traditionallly you would put it in a duvet cover. I can't stand them - they're difficult to put on and never look as nice as in ads. We put a patterneed sheet on top of it that is one size smaller (so the edges of the comforter show). We'd seen something similar done in an upscale hotel. The sheet keeps the comforter clean and can be tossed in the wash every week or two - or changed out for a different look. Just my take!

Answer:	Yeah, it's kind of oddly-described. It's just a fluffy blanked thing you sleep under. You CAN put it inside a "duvet cover." Think of it just like a pillow and pillowcase. Have you even been tired and gone to bed and realized you'd taken off your pillowcases and were too lazy to put on new clean ones, and then just slept on the pillow, like a caveman (well, a caveman with a pillow). This is the same thing -- you don't really NEED the cover, especially on something that's $20. Originally, European Duvets were often valuable, and of course you'd put them in a cover to protect them, so you could just take off and wash the cover, same as you wash a pillowcase.
