The overpriced sleep number base moves the same way as this and the dimensions are the same or very nearly so. I see no reason this base would not work.

Answer:	Spouse is over 6 ft tall, and he looks like a clown sitting in a child's chair. It's not a very big chair at all. The max weight capacity is 300 LBS, but honestly I'm half of that and after owning the chair just a few weeks it's already falling apart. Avoid it!
Question:	why does it smell and when does it go away
Answer:	That smell is not just from flame retardant. That smell comes from just about everything man made such as: the foam cushion, artificial leather, laminates, carpets and so on and so forth. The reason some new products do not have the smell is because the manufacturer has the good sense to let that thing air out in the factory for a few days before shipping it to retailers that immediately ship it to customers.

Answer:	Not only are they not adjustable but are beyond crap... I've had mine a couple months and the arms are moving away from the body of the chair. I can litteraly pull them inward and it's only getting worse. I'm currently looking for a new one this is getting donated

I used one to beef up my full size bed support so that I could throw out my box spring and use mattress only with a few wooden board cross supports. I got the two mounting brackets at my local IKEA for free just for asking for them at the customer service counter. Of course I bought my beam directly at the IKEA store and not online. It was much cheaper at IKEA, just check the IKEA website. Worth the trip.
