There is a water proof treatment so it is not fire retardant. Answer:	I've been reading your answers and, I have a suggestion. You could try using velcro straps to get it tighter. You can purchase a roll of it at Home Depot for a few bucks. It's designed for using on tarps.

Question:	I have a Coleman inflator. Can I use it on this pad
Answer:	I use mine nightly. I have had about 10 of these since a neck herniation in 2011. The early ones seemed to hold their shape longer. They have since changed their foam and it doesn't last as long. That said, I've tried others and they are just a tad too big or too firm, so I keep coming back to this one that looses it shape quicker than I would like.
Question:	What is the exact weight? I'm going on a long backpacking trip in the Tetons and every ounce counts
Answer:	The McKenzie roll has rescued me from many miserable nights and following days. I use a water pillow, also purchased on Amazon, with the roll placed at the bottom of the pillow, all in one pillowcase. I'm not kidding when I say that sometimes in the mornings I procrastinate getting out of bed as the support of the roll on my neck is the best my neck ever feels. Sometimes the roll gets a bit smashed under the pillow and I need to pull it up to support my neck. I am a 5'4" woman and the roll fits nicely on the entire neck area above my shoulders. It works best when I sleep on my side. I have also used the roll with a regular cheap flat pillow when traveling and it worked well. I've been told that the neck should align with the spine when you lie on your side. Perhaps you should keep experimenting with different sized pillows. We are not all the same size so pillows should probably vary also. Good luck.

Answer:	That would all depend on you as we use it with our regular pillow and this round pillow for the neck area. Believe you can use it as long as you like for any neck issues. Try it as a regular pillow instead of what you now use. Everyone's sleep patterns are different.
