Question:	Does the visual mechanism actually move
Answer:	I have been advised by my pest control service not to use tick tubes close to the house. It is best to place the tick tubes a little distance away from the house so that you don't attract them to venture in and around the house or provide nice bedding for them to setup a nest in the house. You want the mice to take the treated cotton material back to their nest. I put them in landscaping areas away from the house and along the outer edge of the mowed area. Even if mice come in the house, they are running around outside and will find tick tubes outside.

Question:	how about the watch?are they
Answer:	I am not an expert but here's my observation from last season. The tubes are cardboard with a coating so they are not water proof. They are made to eventually biodegrade. Over time the water is absorbed and the tube looses its shape, flattening out. Also depending on the direction of the rain and the slope its on, water can reach the cotton inside. Scientifically I don't know if the chemicals are still effective but after several rain storms it is less attractive to mice (here I am speaking for mice). So this year I placed them under different cover (a deck etc) for protection from the rain.
Question:	Does the count down feature allow setting seconds
Answer:	It depends on what you are covering. We live on a sand dune in the woods. I surrounded the lawn area of about 3000 square feet with 4 packages of 6 tubes. I spaced them approximately 30 feet or 10 yards apart, as the directions state for a perimeter treatment, along the foundation of the house, along landscaping/steps and then along the woods side of the lawn. A half acre is about 21,500 square feet. So depending on what you are trying to cover, you probably need a lot more, especially if you are going to use the grid approach for a lawn as described on the instructions. Maybe I put them too close but then we have a lot of deer, deer ticks and regular ticks.

Answer:	The 230 Model has a fairly comfortable plastic seat. The higher end 270 has a padded seat.

Answer:	I can't believe just how quiet this machine is. Your neighbor will not be aware that you have it unless they're home while you're assembling it, and they hear you swearing😉 The instructions are mostly just pictures and are a bit difficult to understand. Other than that, I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.
