Answer:	Not exactly sure, but what I read sometime ago says 1 oz dried = 1lb. fresh. Reconstitute the mushroom and it will be a fair amount. I add them to dishes and use 1 oz. each of a few varieties as I like plenty of them in my foods. GL!

Answer:	The package says in English: "Maitake, sulfite as preservative." The company is based in China, so I supposed they come from there, as almost everything else on the wrapper is written in Chinese. They were large, mostly unbroken pieces with the clusters intact, and had a pleasant woody odor. They don't get really soft. I use them mostly to make broth and strain the solids.

Answer:	Hi, I'm not sure but in looking at the package & their other products it seems that it's only mushrooms (but I do understand the gluten issue & you never know). The product in the package looks like straight up dried mushrooms without any processing so it seems like a clean product. Regarding comment about mushrooms being hard after cooking, what I do is crumble them up before using as a soup base - or in the rice water so by they time I eat it they are very soft. I use them mainly for health benefits since Maitake is one of the super medicinal mushrooms of Chinese healing. Good luck!

Answer:	Shiitake mushrooms : The objective of this study was to determine the β-glucan content in different sections of the fruiting bodies and mycelia of ten shiitake mushroom cultivars. The measured β-glucan content ranged from 20.06 ± 1.76% to 44.21 ± 0.13% in the pileus sections, and from 29.74 ± 1.40% to 56.47 ± 4.72% in the stipe sections. The results of this study indicate that the FRUITING BODY POWDER probably has on average 30% beta glucans. so a 500mg capsule is like 1.5Grams of this powder. BUT 1/7 if you assume the other have no beta glucan, but of course they do!!!! So, assume about 1.5Grams a VERY small amount to take, this is GREAT VALUE!

Answer:	The serving size is the only thing that changed. There are no less mushrooms in the bag. Before, the serving size was 2000 mg. This means that in 2000 mg of powder, there is about 285 mg of each of the seven mushrooms (285 x 7 = 1995). Now, for simplicity, the serving size has changed to 700 mg. This means that in 700 mg of powder, there is about 100 mg of each of the seven mushrooms (100 x 7 = 700). No ratio has changed. It is the same. You're still getting your 285 mg of each mushroom if you choose to look at a 2000 mg serving size. The bag was, and is still, 8 oz of 100% mushrooms.
