You can usually substitute a tablespoon or so for whatever flour you use just to get a feel for working with it. Lots of people use a bit in smoothies. It makes great crackers. Question:	Is this product good for puppies
Answer:	It's supposed to be non-toxic, but not sure I would trust it if my pets were in that position. My only suggestion would be to research each ingredient to see if any of them have known side effects if ingested. I'm sure my dog has licked himself in places we've sprayed, but we don't use it that often. Luckily it works for the intended purpose. A nursing dog might need too much, because of constant irritation, for pups to handle if any of those ingredients can be harmful. Like I said, though, it is supposed to be non-toxic, so my worries could be unwarranted.
