Answer:	Yes. It's not as small as other magnifiers because of the battery compartment, but it should fit no problem in any pants pockets.

Answer:	An aspheric lens has less distortions around the edges of the magnifying lens. The mold has more of a concave shape to it to allow for clearer, sharper images.

Answer:	The LED light only turns on if you slide the protective cover down all the way (once you hear the "click" sound, the LED light will activate. If you do not need the LED light, you can slide the protective cover down almost all the way before it clicks and the LED will not activate (you will still have full access of the lens).

Answer:	I don't know, but it is an LED light so it should last a long time. The light section is removable. LED + rechargeable unit. So if avaible it can easily be replaced.

2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	Yes,they are rubber, bu there are better options out there. I tried these but they were too much trouble getting them to fit properly on the glasses & then stay positioned correctly. Question:	I have trifocals but need magnification for crafts. Would these work with trifocals
Answer:	They work well with my bifocals; so I don't see why not. I use them for sewing, for crafts, at the piano and at the computer (the latter two things, with bifocals, keep me from having to tip my head up and getting a sore neck while I'm working). All I can say is give them a try. Clip-on magnifiers release me from holding on to a magnifying glass. I don't know if they are equal to or better than a free-standing magnifier that lots of craft and sewing people use. But they're very handy and don't require the space that that sort of thing needs.

Question:	What size head, in inches, will this fit? Thx
Answer:	I just received mine, in my opinion, it is not suitable for counted cross stitch. If you hold your work at the usual distance, it is too blurry. You have to hold your work about 11/2" to 2 " from your nose. I am past 60 and use reading glasses. I do think even with average eye site you'd have to hold the work that close of a distance. It would be great for getting a close up look at jewelry, model kits etc. I guess I'll have to spring for one of those lighted magnifiers on an arm.

Answer:	Yes, this can be done just by removing the screw on the left side and replace in the right one, then just position the loupe on the left side, I did the same thing since my best eye is the left.

Answer:	I tried it once. By the time I had twisted around in all directions (I'm 73) trying to see and hold my feet close enough and keeping them still, I had wiggled around until I fell off the couch and landed on the floor. Hilarious seeing this old lady trying to get up like a turtle on it's back! The only pedicuring I got was an unintended snip on my little toe. Not my toenail, but the flesh. Will not try that again. But it works really well for crocheting, tatting, knitting, reading when my eyes are hurting, plus many, many more things. I repaired an earring the other day with them. I agree with what DSE said. You need to be a contortionist!

Question:	would this be a good magnifier to look for bugs on my plants? If not, please suggest alternative
Answer:	I bought it to see some small prints in dictionary for example, and negatives ( old ones). For looking at small bugs like aphids and mites, it should work fine. Bigger ones would be too scary. You have to get very close.
Question:	Does the glass/plastic base unscrew
Answer:	The glass/plastic base does not unscrew. It is rather like looking for a more definite detail when viewing this unit. The way a diamond dealer would look for any minor to major crack or deminisce in a diamond per say.
Question:	Does it work good for reading coins
Answer:	Tom the problems I had when I tried using it to read coins is its pretty hard to put enough light on the coin without having to lift the magnifier off the coin. Then you're field of vision is even lower, if that's possible. For example, reading the date on a dime, and you can appreciate how small the date field is on a dime, I found myself having to use a flashlight (LED hi beam of course), lifting the Carson scope slightly, and moving it slightly in order to read the entire date. It drills down just that precisely. Now I could put the entire date within its field of view, but to read against the glare I found myself shifting it slightly so that I could read the whole date while minimizing the glare...If I had not purchased it, and know what I now know about this lumiloupe, I would shop around for something perhaps a little better. Now the 5x scope, it was 5 times the size of this 10x, and it zoomed in quite well, but again it was only 5x magnification. I would find another 10x with a larger base dimension. Hope this helps!
Question:	can I view old camera negatives not 35mm
Answer:	Yes you can. However, you will need some way to illuminate the negative from below. I use a light table that I made myself many years ago. It is just a wooden box with a white 1/4 inch plexiglass top. Inside the box are two fluorescent lights. I use the box with the Lumi-Loupe to examine slides and sometimes negatives. You can search Amazon for "light table" and find some ready-made solutions. They make some tables that use LEDs and I might even buy one of them myself as they are more compact than my current set-up! Good luck!

Answer:	Hi Leslie. It's not glass, but a very good kind of acrylic or plastic (very clear). The image quality is very good indeed. In my case 3X Magnification is perfect (I tried 2X and 5X and none were the right ones). Additionally the size of the lens is really good (not too big and not too small)The only thing I don't like much is the way it opens. But I can't say anything bad about the image quality. Answer:	I measured 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 " square. As the reviewer Marjorie mentioned, it sometimes is not easy to find the ridge that opens it, but this is a very handy little tool. I highly recommend it if you need some "help" reading labels and menus, etc.

Question:	Where is the hands free part as described
Answer:	The SureGrip Series magnifier with the rectangular lens (SG-16) has two built-in metal legs that come down allowing users to use the magnifier in a hands-free fashion. Alternatively, this magnifier can also be used in a hand-held fashion if you hold it be the soft-grip handle.
Question:	Has anyone used the sg-10 for firestarting? how did it work? thanks in advance
Answer:	Nearly any reasonably good quality lens will get a spot hot enough to start, say, dry grass, smoldering. What ever you do, please do it so that there is no risk of an uncontrolled fire. Glass is better for this than acrylic. And the higher the power, the better. But for SCUBA diving? You don't say how you plan to use it, so I'll go out on a limb here. It might be worth trying this test. Place something waterproof with letters on it at the bottom of a 130 mm or so deep container with a flat bottom. The Pyrex 8-Cup (2 Quart) Measuring Cup with Read From Above level indication (Amazon) is a good example. Fill the container with water. Hold the magnifier above the surface of the water and observe the amount of magnification. Then immerse the magnifier in the water, and move it back and forth to see what the object looks like through the water only and through the magnifier under water.
Question:	Would this be good for child use? Child is 6 years old. Kids brand products tend to be junk
Answer:	I think it would be good for a 6 year old but under supervision. There are several ways to get into trouble with a magnifying glass such as using it with the sun to start a fire. Any child who knows Sherlock Holmes will especially love it. One interested in botany or bugs would also, I think.

Question:	Have you tried it on canon full frame? I have tried several magnifiers and they all focus before the sensor
Answer:	Yes. The SensorMag will work on full frame cameras. However, the field of view is smaller compared to a full frame sensor, so you may have to look around (move your head/eyes) more to see to the full sensor, especially in the corners. Also, please note you will be able to focus on the dust on the plate above the sensor, not directly on the sensor itself. Question:	Hi , Will this work for a Nikon D3300 , please
Answer:	I use it for a Nikon D800 which is full frame and the D3300 is not full frame so you need to check the product information in more detail
Question:	Will it focus on the sensor of mirrorless cameras such as the Sony Nex
Answer:	With mirrorless cameras you have to hold the loupe's lens further above the camera's lens mount. An extender to accomplish this can be built or bought. You might google "maven loupe extender" to find a mirrorless adapter that Michael The Maven has built for this loupe. He also shows it being used in his cleaning video. I have not used it, so I can't comment on how well it works.
Question:	It looks like this should work with the D800, but I can't get this to focus on the sensor. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong
Answer:	Yes, it should work. Are you focusing on the sensor itself or the dust on the glass plate above the sensor? If you are trying to focus on the sensor itself, it may not be able to focus. Regarding cleaning, you should be able to clearly focus on the dust above the sensor. Question:	Carson optical PM-33. Directions on how to remove tab that protects the light
Answer:	Thank your inquiry. We see that this question is on the PO-25 page, but is referring to the PM-33, so we just want to make sure that you're asking about the tab protecting the button cell batteries on the PM-33. If that is the case, the plastic tab should be easily pulled out outward. If there is an issue removing the tab, the battery panel can be removed by pushing in the direction of the imprinted arrow, and the remaining protective insert can be removed that way.
Question:	Can this be used without the light
Answer:	Yes, I thought I would not use the light, but I found I use the light often. You can use the 3X with out batteries.
Question:	Is this good for seeing restaurants menus
Answer:	Magnification is good and the light is bright. Should be good for menu's.
