Answer:	I bought the 4-7 year old for a 5 year old who is tall and thin, 4 ft tall, 43 lbs. It was a perfect fit. It needs to be tight, so the smaller size (1-3 year old) would probably fit an average sized 2 year old.

Answer:	For me it was useful only when we modified the opening because it doesn't seal properly. I'm pretty sure none of them really do. So we cut the opening because the cast actually wouldn't fit..then we used water proof tape to seal. As far as the hair goes this most likely wouldn't be a good solution.

Answer:	It should, but because of this the opening will stretch to much and each cover could be used one time only. Also, the cast cover will be damaged if you will be using it for walking.
