Answer:	It has four little rubber feet so as long as they all touch it should work fine. I wanted a scale that would work on carpet and this one has no moving parts for about one inch off the floor so it does just fine on carpet. If the floor is especially rough as in, say, rustic tile, then I'd use a pad or flat board under it to make sure all the feet touch. The scale base is pretty ridgid but somewhere up around 250/300 pounds you might be able to get it to flex a little. Good choice for odd circumstances tho----

Answer:	no , but I think a walker would fit around it and that you could easily use it with a walker. (My husband used a walker in the past for stability, but not since we got this scale.)

Answer:	No. I purchased this scale, and returned it two days later. Regardless of how many times I tried to adjust it, the weight was different each and every time. Two attempt, one right after the other, with no adjustment, would result in a weight as much as eight pounds different that the previous. Completely useless as a scale, I'm sorry to say.

Some lucky soul via Goodwill Industries now own the three I took there for at least a small tax deduction as a charitable donation. Answer:	I'm going to answer yes to this question. It is basically the old electric stove coil with a little fan to blow and circulate the hot air. I love it because now I don't use any oil for French fries or crispy crown potatoes. My wife loves it for corn on the cob 8-10 minutes pre seasoned the way you like it first, then set it for 10 minutes then Yummo! Answer:	It doesn't actually shut off. It's an air fryer so when it reaches the desired temperature the air stops to keep the food from over cooking. When the temperature starts to drop, the air begins again to keep the desired temperature.

Answer:	I just got mine a couple days ago and there was a smell but here is what I did: 1. Washed basket and drawer in hot soapy water and dry, but also wipe the unit (inside and out) with a slightly damp cloth and wait an hour to dry 2. Set it on max (400) and left for about 25 minutes (started to smell after about 6 minutes). 3. After timer was up, I let it cool down for 10 min and I did it again for another 25 minutes. 4. I repeated Step 2 another 2 times but this time I only ran it maybe 15 minutes each time. The smell was just about gone at this point. 5. I let it cool overnight since I wasn't going to use it until the following day 6. About an hour before using it, I rinsed the basket and wiped the inside (maybe I'm too paranoid? haha) 7. I ran it again for about 10 minutes as another check and I did not notice any smell so I decided to make my first batch of fries that came out great!
