Question:	I am using cat 8 cables. Will this product work? If not what other switch do i need
Answer:	It should work fine. Keep in mind this is a gigabit switch and cat8 would more typically be used for 10gb networking but its all compatible.
Question:	Should this connect to arris tg1672g without any configuration on either side? the arris combines "..a 4-port gigabit router.." not working for me
Answer:	Your configuration should look like this: (Internet) Cable -> ARRIS TG1672G -> Port 1, 2, 3, or 4 -> Netgear 8-Port Switch Your Cable Modem provides 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports and when you connect the Netgear 8-Port switch you lose 2 ports (one on the cable modem & one on the Netgear and end up with 10 Gigabit Ethernet Ports instead of 4. No configuration is needed. If one of the devices you're adding is a Wi-Fi router, then your configuration will look like this: (Internet) Cable -> ARRIS TG1672G -> Port 1 -> Wi-Fi Router -> Netgear 8-Port Switch. If you want all devices to be able to see each other, then you can have up to 7 of them plugged into the Netgear Router.
Question:	Do i have to have 1gig internet speed to have this or no
Answer:	No. It's top speed is Gigabit (1000 Mbps), but it will work with 10/100 Mbps devices well. It's not just limited to Internet but any devices that wish to communicate with each other i.e. computer to Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, etc ... and usually those devices have gigabit Ethernet ports so they can communicate with each other at the gigabit speeds.
Question:	how to get plug and play to work? 14 ports not putting out IP, have modem and wifi router connected, but cant get other ports to work
Answer:	Make your flow as follows: Modem -> Wi-Fi Router -> Netgear 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch. All your devices (up to 15 of them) will get their IP address from the Wi-Fi Router. You may also want to consider labeling your cables. I have two 16-port switches, one Unmanaged (for Internet) and one Managed (for private network), and all the cables are both color-coded and labeled.

Question:	How many Port Forwards or Virtual Servers are supported? Most consumer class routers only allow 16-20, I need more than that
Answer:	No it does not- I received my order today (1/11/21) and it is the same one at my local grocery store.
Question:	Does this switch support link aggregation ? Looking to hook up a decent Synology NAS which has two Ethernet ports to utilize the higher throughput
Answer:	We do not. Only ship in the US
Question:	Is the radio power adjustable? I.e., can you turn the transmission power down for smaller areas
Answer:	No. It is a thick luscious syrup and does not leave any after taste like artificial sweeteners can. The only difference I can detect between it and real maple syrup is it does not seem quite as sweet.
Question:	Can I attach this to a cable modem and use simply as a router
Answer:	The Lavanko syrup is thinner and sweeter at first, but does have an off after taste and feeling on the tongue. This one is thicker and more like 'real' syrup but not as sweet at Lavanko or the real deal. I'm planning to try the other flavors to see if they are sweeter than this maple flavor version, but between the two, I choose this one over Lavanko.

Question:	I would like to use this router for a public space using ubiquiti access points. how many ip address can this router handle
Answer:	I have not had a requirement to do that, but I have created 5 vlans, and 5 L3 sub interfaces. Each interface has a /24 dhcp address range, not all have all have been issued out but potentially 1254 addresses, this has not caused the router any issues.
Question:	does this have the DHCP server functionality
Answer:	Yes, it does have DHCP and is a router. The firewall, as deliverd, is pretty limited and your really should build your own firewall rules.
Question:	Is the AC power adapter included in the purchase
Answer:	Yes! This does come with a 12 volt DC power supply. It can also be powered by passive PoE (Specifically, Ubiquiti's proprietary 24 volt Passive Poe injectors and switches. In addition to the passive Poe going into to eth Port 0, you can pass that out of Eth port 4 and power another ubiquiti device that supports their passive Poe (Think their unifi AP lines, Airmax outdoor radios etc.) One other side note to keep in mind is that if one uses the included 12 volt DC adapter, pass through Poe is not supported from Eth port 4, as there is not enough wattage. Answer:	Someone said 4-5 ounces per cone; I don't use NEARLY that much. I use the 9 oz clear plastic cups. I shape a nice ball of snow taking up most of the cup. I add 2-2.5 ounces of syrup -- usually one ounce of one flavor on one side, and another ounce of another flavor on the other side. Then I drizzle a small amount to finish off the color. If I were selling them, I'd probably need to make 'em bigger, but these are just treats for my kids after dinner...

Answer:	Yes, handles a dual wan with 1gbps at the full 1 gbps throughput without dpi or qos. With qos enabled, throughout drops to 500mbps or so (still much faster than other consumer grade routers). Contrary to the implication in the other comment, this does not have a 10G sfp+. The sfp port is 1G only.

Answer:	No it is just a gigabit switch, 1 gps. Also, there are no uplink ports on this switch, some switches (mostly managed high end) have uplink ports that will do 10gbe.
Question:	If i have true poe cameras, do i still need a poe injector, or will this switch allow me to connect 4 camera feeds to one output to the nvr receiver
Answer:	Provided your cameras adhere to the 48V POE standard adopted by cisco, polycom, yealink, grandstream and others, then all is fine - but some consumer targeted devices cheat and use 12V power injectors with their own creative pseudo-POE putting 12V wall warts wired onto pairs of the Ethernet cable with their own (cheap) "power injectors" which are not compatible with the Ieee POE definition. I have yet to find a POE inserter that used 48V and was not compliant, so usually the voltage of the wall wart that ships with the product will guide you down the right path.
Question:	Will this switch do 24v passive? The description is insanely vague
Answer:	No. This provides 802.3af and 802.3at. The common 24v PoE used in this arena is a non-standard form favored by Mikrotik and Ubiquiti. For that, you are looking for an Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch/ToughSwitch. There may be others. It is safe to say that if a device supports 24v Passive PoE it will say so. 24v Passive is not a standard but is very common in WISP equipment. Devices which only say they support 'PoE' are indicating that they support 802.3af.

This will eliminate any potential interference, and let you get the most of your speeds from each eero throughout your home. eeros also work in a mixed wired/wireless network, so you can even mix-and-match your eero connection types. The answer is yes and also no.If you'd like to use another router in front of your eero, you can do so. You would have two options here—running two networks or running your eero in bridge mode. With the latter, you would lose many of eeros advanced features, and all the networking settings will be handled by the upstream router. You would still get the benefits of eeros mesh.If you are asking if you can start with an eero and then add another router to expand the mesh, this isn't possible. eero's can only work with other eero and eero Beacons.I hope this helps!
