Answer:	Yes, it shows all information on the screen of the scale. It is really nice to have it stored on a device to look back.
Question:	The description says 18 month battery life. What type of battery does it use? Is it rechargable
Answer:	Standard AA batteries. Definitely didn't need to worry about changing them for over a year with the predecessor Withings device and this is essentially the same thing with a Nokia badge. Presumably you could use rechargeables.
Question:	Does this scale sync with the fitbit app
Answer:	Does not integrate with Fitbit. A full body composition not resulted after 1st use; only an unpredictable subset, always weight. Difficult toggle between family memb.Spoke w/both Withings&Fitbit and appears to be unresolved issues between them. Withings said go ahead and return. Sad because sleek and nice when worked but spent better part of day trying to work out integration. The Fitbit Aria 2 scale is no longer available and upgrade not released. Fitbit is not set up for full body composition—only et and % body fat. Can enter these manually. Apparently Fitbit data supposed to integrate into Healthmate, the Withing app , but was not very satisfying either. Hope this save another consumer from spending chunk of a day. I misunderstood from Amazon description about syncing. There are still SEAMS IN OUR WORLD!
Question:	Any way to sync all data it provides with garmin connect? i assume the weight could be synced using myfitnesspal
Answer:	I mentioned it in the conversation about this question, but the link through MyFitnessPal will only send weight data to Garmin (if it works...). There's a paid service that will sync everything (body fat, bone mass, muscle mass, water %) called smartscalesync.com, I haven't seen any other solutions yet though.

Answer:	Slight correction, the models are actually HBF514c and HBF516b. I have both and they are identical in every way they measure weight, BMI, body fat, muscle percentage, visceral fat and resting metabolism. Both great machines and would recommend either.
Question:	When I hold the handles to get full reading, weight is 1 lb higher than when I use just as a scale (no handles). Am I missing something
Answer:	HOW TO USE: - Do not take out handle- Press the power button and release- Do not touch the machine until it is calibrated- Hit the profile number you want (1-4)- Remove handle and hold appropriately- Step on scale- Wait until all measurements completeThe very very most I've seen as a difference is .2 pounds using this method - and I often see that without using the handle (simply because I am "inbetween" a .2 range, such as 180.7 will show 180.6 or 180.8).
Question:	Can i get the result as a report? is there any way i can get result physically
Answer:	No. This model has no connection USB, Bluetooth or wifi in order to create a report physically.
Question:	How does this scale calculate resting metabolism and how accurate is it
Answer:	This device is more accurate than just a scale BIA, as the scale only sends current through your legs. It predicts the rest. It is also more accurate than hand held BIA devices, as they only send a current through your arms. Again predicting the rest of your body. However, even though it says full body it only measures the legs and arms. It predicts the trunk. For more accurate BIA measurements the device used needs to use DSM-BIA technology

Answer:	It is more sensitive to your body temp., time of day, etc. My % body fat can change by 10 pts if I don't hold the handles just right or if I weigh in right after a work out. My experience with the commercial grade is that it is not as sensitive so more consistent results. It is a fun gadget but I don't take the results too seriously rather I follow the trends over time (hopefully I'm moving in the right direction).

Answer:	Slight correction, the models are actually HBF514c and HBF516b. I have both and they are identical in every way they measure weight, BMI, body fat, muscle percentage, visceral fat and resting metabolism. Both great machines and would recommend either.

Answer:	HOW TO USE: - Do not take out handle- Press the power button and release- Do not touch the machine until it is calibrated- Hit the profile number you want (1-4)- Remove handle and hold appropriately- Step on scale- Wait until all measurements completeThe very very most I've seen as a difference is .2 pounds using this method - and I often see that without using the handle (simply because I am "inbetween" a .2 range, such as 180.7 will show 180.6 or 180.8).

Answer:	No. This model has no connection USB, Bluetooth or wifi in order to create a report physically.
Question:	How does this scale calculate resting metabolism and how accurate is it
Answer:	This scale runs a very very tiny electric current through your body in order to get its readings. The sensors that give you this current are on the top of the scale (under your feet when you step on the scale) and in the hand grips that come out of the front of the scale. When you are just weighing yourself you only have to step on the scale, it's not necessary to use the hand grips. However, any of the other readings require using (holding) the hand grips and stepping on the scale. The electrical current will go through fat, muscle, blood and bone differently. It can tell how much of your body is fat or muscle etc. by the water content of each. The reason it uses both sensors for most readings is that by measuring from two parts of your body it gets a more accurate reading. This a really simple explanation; google it and you'll get lots more. As for its accuracy, I have had many of these readings done at a gym in the past, with calipers and I find the scale to be pretty accurate. Although I have not measured head to head, scale to calipers. I am a nurse and I think the science behind this type of measuring devise is solid. To me the issue is whether the scale is easy to use and can consistently give accurate results. I think this scale does. I did all the measurements when I got the scale and twice a day for four days. It consistently gave me the same results with very little change every time. The biggest difference was my weight which would fluctuate but never more than six to eight ounces depending on how long it had been since I ate. As for resting metabolism, mine was 1347 calories (that is the number of calories I need just to exist). This is fairly accurate in that if I keep my calories down to 1200 or so for a week I lose about a pound. Because that is my resting metabolism (1347) with walking at work, housework etc. I need more calories, about 1700 with normal activities, no exercise. This comes, I think, from a formula. If this much of your body is fat or muscle then you can predict the resting metabolism. More muscle uses more calories, more fat less. Ok, two things: although the electrical current is tiny and absolutely won't hurt you, it could hurt someone with a pacemaker by interfering with the workings of the pacemaker (not good). Second, someone who has a large amount of metal in their body, like from total knee or total hip replacement would not get accurate readings. It would register this large thing with no water in it and I don't know whether it would read it as fat or muscle? If you have screws or pins, a little metal, I think it will still be accurate. I am very happy with my scale and as I work out, build muscle and lose fat I expect it to tell me how I'm doing.

Answer:	Does not integrate with Fitbit. A full body composition not resulted after 1st use; only an unpredictable subset, always weight. Difficult toggle between family memb.Spoke w/both Withings&Fitbit and appears to be unresolved issues between them. Withings said go ahead and return. Sad because sleek and nice when worked but spent better part of day trying to work out integration. The Fitbit Aria 2 scale is no longer available and upgrade not released. Fitbit is not set up for full body composition—only et and % body fat. Can enter these manually. Apparently Fitbit data supposed to integrate into Healthmate, the Withing app , but was not very satisfying either. Hope this save another consumer from spending chunk of a day. I misunderstood from Amazon description about syncing. There are still SEAMS IN OUR WORLD!

Answer:	I mentioned it in the conversation about this question, but the link through MyFitnessPal will only send weight data to Garmin (if it works...). There's a paid service that will sync everything (body fat, bone mass, muscle mass, water %) called smartscalesync.com, I haven't seen any other solutions yet though.

Answer:	Looks like it takes ounces to four decimal points (0.0000)

Answer:	This scale only measures up to 300 grams. So probably not unless what you are mailing is under a half-pound. This scale is more for smaller amounts, (cooking, medications, herbal supplements) hence the accuracy to 1/100th of a gram.
Question:	Does this work with the Google PIxel line of phones
Answer:	I wish I knew this beforehand. I'll write the calibration procedure from the manual: ..."it will show "100.00". Place 100g-calibration(not included) mass on to the middle of the weigh platform, display will show "300.00", then add 200g-calibration (not included) till the display shows "PASS". So there isn't technically a calibration, but just a weight check. If it happens to not pass this check, you could make your own linear curve but isn't that overkill for an inexpensive scale?
