Answer:	The description is a bit misleading. It comes with a 10 shade (I believe). There's not an adjustment, rather you would purchase the shade of your choice (8, 9, not 10 because it comes with ten, 11,or 12) and install it into the mask in place of the 10 shade it comes with. That being said, a 10 shade is arguably the most common and standard shade for general stick or wire feed welding. No real need to "adjust" from that level unless you're doing some trick stuff with a TIG welder in my opinion.

Answer:	Yes, but you would have to use fairly long screws so that they could go through the top of the doghouse. Moreso, because the part of the heater that has to face the top inside of the doghouse is flat and the top of the doghouse is more than likely angled or rounded.

Answer:	it has 3 settings I just put it on medium which keeps it above 60 all the time.... which means it does pretty good on a 25-30 degree night.
