Answer:	I use the daily cleaner after every meal prep - and I use the polish daily as well - but sometimes I only polish once a week for a good through polish of all surfaces - I seal every six months but you can seal sooner if you want just make sure you buff it out well and if you don't just apply more then buff it out again - hopefully this response helps - I have and exotic counter top and want the colors to be vibrant hence why I polish often to enhance the colors - I love the granite gold products they are so gentle and work so well.

Lustra Italian Etch Remover polishing compound is a combination of specially formulated polishing powders designed specifically to remove etch marks, water marks, water rings, dull spots, and even light scratches on marble, travertine, limestone, alabaster, and onyx stone. simply apply a spoon full of Lustra Italian Etch Remover over the etch or water mark. Using a rag, rub the Lustra Italian Etch Remover over the blemish by hand. And in just about 3 minutes, the etch and water mark will be mechanically removed and republished back to the original factory finish! DO NOT Use ON GRANITE. Please make sure you know what your surface is before using. stubborn stains may require multiple treatments. Product will settle after packaging. This is normal. Pour off excess water! What are some things that will cause etching and dull spots on marble?

Lemon, lime, vinegar, soda(coke), spray cleaners that are acidic based or have vinegar in them. These are some of common household items that will cause dull spots on marble.

How do you prevent dull spots, etching on marble and keep my marble polished and looking great?

The short answer to that question is, you cannot prevent etching on any stone that contains calcite. However, if you ask 'How can I protect my marble from etching or dull spots?' the answer is... Sealer.

It is very important, critical, vital in fact, to seal your marble every 6 months to a year, depending on how much the stone is used. Marble is like a sponge and will absorb everything! Sealing is the best way to protect against etching and staining on marble. Even though there is no way to prevent etches or stains on stone with calcite, sealing stone will add a protective barrier to the surface that helps you maintain the stone's appearance. Sealing your marble with a premium sealer like the Lustro Italiano premium grade sealer will give you a much longer time to clean up the spill. Also, it will protect against staining from wine, oil, mustard, ketchup, and other normal household items. Also, its important to know that if an etch or dull spot on marble has occurred, the acid that caused the etch has most definitely removed the sealer that was on the stone. That means that you Must reseal the stone where the etch was. But if it etched, there is a great possibility that the entire stone needs to be sealed.

Is the Lustro Italiano Etch Remover meant for honed marble?

Yes, it can be used on honed marble. You just have to be a little careful on the honed marble because it will want to polish it back up to a polished finish. So we would advise to just go for 10-15 seconds, stop and then check to make sure you get the finish you want.

Simply apply a spoon full of Lustro Italiano Etch Remover over the etch or water mark. Using a rag, rub the Etch Remover over the blemish by hand. Continue to rub into the desired area for approximately 3 minutes and the etch and water mark will be mechanically removed and re polished back to the original factory finish. Make sure to re-seal the surface with Lustro Italiano Stone Sealer as the original sealer on the stone will be compromised. Removes etchs on Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Alabaster, and Onyx. Does not work on granite or quartz based stone. Lustro Italiano Etch Remover is sold by 8 ounce weight. Please note that the container will not be completely filled to the top.

How do I remove etch and dull spots on marble countertops?

Understanding what caused the dull spots in the first place is important. Polished marble will have a very nice high gloss. However, marble is not the easiest stone to take care of. Marble is a calcite based stone that is 'soft' in nature. When something acidic touches marble, the acid will chemically react with the calcite in the stone and 'eat' or start dissolving the stone. If the stone is not sealed properly, this can happen in seconds! Once the surface has been removed, the marble will have a dull spot. If the acid has sat on the surface for a longer time, the stone will then feel rough to the touch.

Question:	does this clean tough soap scum
Answer:	Yes. My son made some vinegar cucumber concoction when we were away on vacation and spilled vinegar on our marble table. It was pretty bad. This stuff worked very well. My husband worked many hours on it but it looks like new. It is worth it to get some. It takes a lot of rubbing but it worked.
Question:	Is this safe for gray grout? I am worried about it staining the color of my grout
Answer:	I would doubt it very much. I bought this to refresh an Empress green marble countertop, which was basically in fine condition; just needed to shine up a few areas, no stains. There was no improvement at all. Need a professional to go over the top (if I care enough!) I have removed stains from a honed carrera marble floor using peroxide-not the regular strength, but a heavy duty 12% solution that recommends dilution. I used it straight, and kept off that area until it dried, which took about 6 days. The stains were gone! Sealed it, and the area is now perfect.
Question:	Will it damage metal surfaces nearby
Answer:	The pH of the new product is 10.7 and is only for sealed stone surfaces.
Question:	What is the actual difference between this shower cleaner and the Granite Gold Daily cleaner, aside from the obvious suggested use of each
Answer:	It works out to be $.065/oz based on 16oz bottle from Walmart with tax and shopping charge.

Question:	The sprayer is a little suspect, I transferred the cleaner into a another clean spray bottle and it lost its potency, and suggestions
Answer:	I have used this for several years and have seen no damage to my shower fixtures. I use all of the Granite Gold products for my shower, tile floors and of course counter tops.
Question:	Is this made by dupont? the bottle says laticrete
Answer:	Just spoke with the manufacture. You can use the shower cleaner safely on Granite Counter tops. It will just have a deeper clean. I would surmise that the counter top cleaner would not be strong enough for the shower.
Question:	Does this product also contain bleach? I have asthma and must be real careful of fumes
Answer:	I haven't with with a leathered finish. I did remove urine etch marks out of a travertine floor, and buffed it to a satin finish.
Question:	Does this work on silicone
Answer:	I doubt it will hurt, but it probably won't help either. Marble is calcium based and quartz is silicone based. It really depends on whether your 'quartz' countertop is a mix and has a calcium component. This etch remover creates a chemical reaction with the calcium in marble. Works great too.

Question:	Does this work on cultured marble
Answer:	If this product contains sodium hypochlorite then it contains bleach. Typically, what is sold as a bottle of bleach is 5% sodium hypochlorite and the rest is water.
Question:	Is this product the same as the 3in1 product found in the 24oz orange container with the pump spray
Answer:	It may work but be careful to not wear down the silicone from scrubbing with the cleaner
Question:	Does the cream come in a large refill like the spray
Answer:	It didn't work for my marble shower floors.U can probably try miracle tile&stone cleaner.
Question:	Is this contained alcohol
Answer:	My grout was white in color, this did not stain it. I would find a place close to the floor or other place to test it. Better safe than sorry.

Answer:	No, unfortunately the refill size is only for the spray.
Question:	If this the best product in your inventory with an orbiter? We have an Oreck 500 Pro, can we use this to polish white marble floors
Answer:	Does not have an alcohol smell. Cleans and polishes really well
Question:	Does this seal marble? Can it be used on marble tiles in bathroom
Answer:	It worked well for me in the spray bottle that it came in. I had no reason to put it in another container. I did leave it on the tile for several hours before I rinsed the shower.
Question:	Would this work to polish marble eggs
Answer:	Laticrete International purchased the Stonetech division of Dupont in 2014. All labeling changed over to Laticrete the first of this year. Same product, new owner with a slightly updated label. Thanks!
