Answer:	I have used Black Diamond Granite Sealer one time after installing our granite counter top 3 years ago. The Sealer was very easy to use....almost fun! The results were perfect! I would highly recommend it. I also use the Black Diamond cleaner almost everyday, Love that too!

Answer:	I was told eight hours to dry by the granite installers. As far as I know, I reseal the granite every six months, if it has been taken care of with granite cleaners when needed. Hope this helps

Answer:	While this product will make stone and grout resistant to water and oil stains, it will not make the product waterproof.

Answer:	We are not aware of a good Stone or granite sealer on the market that utilizes silicone as an additive. Bulletproof is a great product for honed granite.
Question:	My granite countertops are dull and I don't know if they were ever sealed. Will this product give me the glossy granite look I am looking for
Answer:	I used two products a cleaner http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00065W8DQ/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this and my tables came out with a nice clean and natural shine. By natural I am not talking reflective of light, a shine similiar to the way a stone looks when you take it out of the water. The two products really made my tables beautiful without making the stone look fake and laminated. If you are truly wanting a gloss, I would agree that you might need a professional to come and seal it with something that will have that high shine. However for the price you could always try this first, if you have granite or stone stuff other areas of the house you can always use this there :)

Answer:	Marble life granite or marble cleaner, it is safe on all stones, all metal, paint, wood, great for cleaning up grease with great oil emulsifiers, developed by Union Carbide over 20 years ago. available on Amazon
Question:	is it good for a quartz counter top or is a less expensive sealer just as good
Answer:	For quartz, I would recommend the Stainproof Plus. This sealer will actually penetrate quartz which is non-pourus while other sealers will not. Most quartz manufacturers advertise that quartz does not need to be sealed but we have seen some quartz products that do in fact stain. Some more than others.
Question:	How much area does it cover? How many linear feet of grout does it cover
Answer:	Depending on what you are sealing, the average coverage on a typical seal is 70sqft. Per quart.On grout sealing, again depending on the size and depth of the grout joint, we've gotten about 250 sqft out of 1 quart.
Question:	Does it work on travertine? I didn't see travertine listed on the stones it's made for
Answer:	Sorry but my experience is not good. I spent 2 days properly applying 2 coats to travertine tiles around our pool. The protection lasted for about 8 weeks only. Very disappointed. I think Stain Proof is a big waste of money and as others have said the company do not stand behind their products. Never again!

Answer:	Thanks for your question Quicksand!Unlike Granite, Marble can be readily etched when it comes in contact with Acids. Tuff Duck is Neutral to Slightly Basic and will not etch Marble. The application instructions for Marble do not differ for Granite or Slate etc.. The difference will be the degree of porosity (or how porous) the stone is. A more porous stone will absorb more sealer than a non-porous stone. In general, marble is more porous than Granite. The directions for marble are as follows:1) Ensure a clean and dry surface, 2) Apply sealer liberally and allow to penetrate for 15 minutes (ensure the surface stays wet during this soaking period, more sealer may need to be applied during this time depending on the porosity of the stone) 3) After 15 minutes wipe up the residual sealer with a clean dry cloth.4) If any sealer was unintentionally allowed to dry on the surface leaving streaks, simply use Tuff Duck sealer on a cloth to re-wet/dissolve the streaks and dry with a cloth.The surface can come in contact with water after 6 hrs of cure time and will be fully cured in 24hrs.Thanks, I hope this helps.

Tuff Duck penetrates into the stone sealing the pores and the chemistry ensures a very high level of hydrophobicicity, or the ability to repel liquids ... You can see this by dripping water onto the sealed surface .. The water will bead on A surface sealed with Tuff Duck. Also Tuff Duck will not alter the natural look or Finish of the natural stone! -thanks for your question !

Answer:	I clean my river rock with 409 stone cleaner from Walmart. You need to make sure you remove any mole before sealing.
Question:	How do I prepare the slate for preparation? Can I just use warm water and detergent
Answer:	I used dish soap and water. Gave the stone a quick rubbing with a firm, but not hard ,bristle scrub brush. Then rinsed with fresh water. Let dry, then applied the 511. The 511 is amazing. That is how I did my two walkways. it took time but. worth it. I have a rather large back patio which I did ss well. Because the area I was to clean, and then enhance , was so large , I very, very carefully power washed to clean. If you decide to power wash , be very careful because too much force could flake this type of stone. I hope this was helpful.

Answer:	I did not notice any harsh smell. I was outside.
Question:	If you are sealing around outside windows, do you need to tape off the windows? Does this harm windows or metal painted trim around windows
Answer:	I used it on brick and stone and actually coated a metal mailbox with no issues. I would probably tape off the glass.

This concrete sealer can cover a range from 90-150 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface porosity. Before applying to your concrete, please make sure that the surface is completely clean and allowed to dry for at least 6 hours. Available in both a 1 gallon and a 2.5 gallon container. Unlike heavy 5 gallon containers, the 2.5 gallon containers are easier to lift, and easy to pour. This product isn't just for concrete. It can be used as an all purpose water repellent and sealer for any bare masonry, concrete, or natural stone surface.

How To Apply The Concrete, Brick & Stone Sealer

Make sure that the surface temperature is a minimum of 40°F and a maximum of 100°F for three hours following application. Once your surface is free and clear of any dirt and debris, use a low pressure pump-up garden sprayer to spray a thin, even layer. The use of a sprayer will allow you to evenly apply the product. For vertical surfaces, start at the bottom and work your way towards the top, applying a flood coat so that the sealer runs down approximately 6" from where you're spraying. The surface should remain wet for 2-3 minutes before final absorption. Apply a second coat within a few minutes of the first. On horizontal surfaces, avoid puddling or ponding; brush or broom to spread material until the sealer thoroughly penetrates the surface. Surface will be dry in 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow 24 hours before driving on surface.

Answer:	I use it for our pool coping and do it every six months to be safe. Depending on where it is applied it may last longer than that.

Answer:	This sealer is great on marble IF you want a glossy coat. I had to do small areas at a time to get a smooth surface, it takes a long time to dry hard enough to walk on. (12 hrs+)

Answer:	This needs only one coat. It requires around 4 gallons.
Question:	How long does it last
Answer:	On walls it lasts more then 15 years On floors from 5-10 years depend on how harsh chemicals you use to clean floor Also depend on if the floor is in a very high humidity area and no sun to dry floor. It is recommended to reapply on high traffic areas every few years.
Question:	Would this keep new stone (Connecticut Bluestone) veneer on the side of a pool from soaking up the water and looking dark and ugly at the water line
Answer:	I am not familiar with Connecticut blue stone, but we put ours on Lime stone which is very porous and the water just beads up on the side of the pool.
Question:	Would this be suitable for natural Texas Moss rock around my pool to protect it against the Salt water waterfall

Question:	Is this food safe
Answer:	Once the sealer has cured in the stone for 4-6 hours, you can then do food preparation on the surface.
Question:	Is this sealer good to use in showers? especially marble tile in the shower
Answer:	If you have granite in your shower it will be fine just let it dry before you start running the water
Question:	This product left a haze on my Uba Tuba black granite. Is that the usual result
Answer:	This can happen if not all of the excess sealer is wiped off the stone. To remove the haze we would recommend reapplying the sealer to the surface, let it sit for no more than a minute and then wipe the surface with a soft clean cloth until it is completely dry. If the area is large, we would recommend doing one small section at a time. This process will reactivate that dried on sealer and remove it from the surface.
Question:	Has anyone used this on a black/dark granite? I'm concerned about hazing, which I've been told can be an issue
Answer:	I have black granite countertops. Instructions say that if product soaks in within the 5 minutes that you leave it on for sealing , then spray and wet the granite countertop again. My experience is that it only hazes if you let it dry completely within that 5 minute time limit. When the 5 minutes is up, wipe off excess WET sealer and buff with clean cloth immediately. This is a great sealer. Don't use counters for 5-6 hours after you seal them. IMPORTANT: Open your windows to ventilate the room when using sealer.
