| Answer: | If this is the Bosch EasyCut it is because Bosch sells a separate green line of tools in the EU that it doesn't sell in the US. Those green tools are the "Home & Garden" tools and use batteries incompatible with the Blue Bosch "pro" line of tools (which is what this GBA battery is for). HOWEVER what you won't find documented anywhere is that the green tools actually use Dremel batteries! The batteries themselves are identical and the chargers are interchangeable. Bosch just snaps a bottom adapter on the battery that makes it fit in only one tool or the other - you can find videos online of people swapping the adapters and see that the battery pack itself as an identical part number in some cases. I don't know why Bosch does this but now you know. If you are looking for a PBA 12 battery go look for the Dremmel 12v Lithium battery. It looks suspiciously like this battery but with a slightly differently shaped bottom plate. |

Your 12V MAX battery probably says 12V MAX and 10.8 volts on it. Most batteries for portable tools are 10.8V or 18V, Dewalt and others started stating the maximum voltage of 12V MAX and 20V MAX for marketing purposes. And Bosch probably thought they had to follow along. |

| Answer: | make sure that the rubber seal from the old filter comes off with the old filter when you remove it. occaissionally the rubber seal will stick on the mounting surface, especially if it is a first time change. once you have checked that , pour a little splash of NEW oil onto the new filter a little can go inside but you are doing this so you can put your index finger in the oil that sits on top and then smear it around in a complete circle covering all of the new oil filter's rubber seal. now you are ready to put on the new filter. hand tighten and then turn one quarter turn more. i have been doing this for 40 years and never had one leak yet. other advice- buy an oil filter pliers like this - https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-5866-12-Inch-Filter-Pliers/dp/B000NPR33O don't waste your money on other kinds of oil filter wrenches |
