Answer:	You can change any of the four independent alarms any time. I really liked this medicine alarm. It helped me give my wife regular pain medicine while she was recovering from hip surgery. The one small thing I had a problem with was when I twice accidently knocked the clock off the bedside stand. The fall was only 2-3 feet onto a carpeted floor. The battery cover popped off and the AA batteries fell out. It is not fun to reset the time and all the alarms in the middle of the night because when the batteries fell out, all time/alarm info was wiped out. I put some tape on the battery cover just in case I clumsily knocked it off the bedside stand again. The crescendo alarm feature is nice for waking up in the middle of the night. It gets loud enough to hear it a couple of rooms away. You can turn enable/disable each of the four alarms as needed. You can turn on or off the nightlight that illuminated the display time. Lightly tapping the top of the alarm (when it alarms) lights it up and puts it into snooze mode. To silence the alarm, move the appropriate alarm switch on/off. This is a simple device and it works well. One possible enhancement, which unfortunately makes it more complicated, is to have a countdown alarm. In other words, if you can take a pain medicine, optionally every 6 hours, have an alarm that goes off after a 6 hour countdown … independent of what time of day it is. I really like this alarm.

This switch is located on the right rear of the clock unit. This switch also allows the alarm to sound a beep or a voice. I don't take an evening pill and 1 to 4 alarms can be turned off or on by moving the alarm select switch to 1 (morning), 2 (afternoon), 3 (evening) or 4 (night) positions. Then move the switch at the upper left of the clock unit to "Alarm Set." Next press the "Set/Advance" button (green) through the hour set and minute set to get to the flashing "on" and "off" display. Hit the "+" (plus: on) or the "-" (minus: on) to turn that alarm time on or off.
