Answer:	I am not sure of origin but can attest to it being a well made and use full product. I work in the field and use everyday and am very satisfied.

Answer:	I chilled them for a few days. However, it didn't stay cold. Next time I am going to put an additional pack in there and put the pen between the packs or use other packs. I would test it before you travel to see how long the packs last, and maybe use different ones than the ones that come with it.

Answer:	I can't speak specifically to Florida. I would say these are just fine to leave in a hot car. Of course, it depends on what you put in the bags, but the bags themselves do well in different temperatures. I did a cross-country trip in the summer with these bags (both inside and outside of suitcases) and they did so well!

Answer:	The ones I received, corresponding to the photo, were made of a solid, translucent material with a texture reminiscent of common lightweight blue tarps: relatively strong, presumably gaining some strength from the mesh, vulnerable to cuts. One can see what's inside, and tiny items (such as loose screws, small tools) aren't likely to fall out. The material will hold water but the zippers and seams won't; so the bags aren't waterproof but offer some protection against rain and condensation.. Damp items placed in the bags would tend to retain their moisture.
