Answer:	Just like a drinking glass except you have to remember that’s it plastic. Rinse in super hot water with dish soap and a sponge (on the outside of it) then rinse with clear water. You can then run a little listerine thru it, let it set for 15-20 minutes then rinse again. Just do the best you can to keep it reasonably clean. The listerine thing really kills the germs after the bulk cleaning with soapy water first.
Question:	Can Neti pot filled with distilled/purified water be heated directly in microwave
Answer:	When you have nasal or sinus symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose or congested sinuses, daily irrigation with a neti pot or irrigation bottle can be helpful. According to a November 2009 statement published by “American Family Physician,” daily or even twice daily use is helpful and safe to use when you have symptoms. A 2012 analysis of 10 studies, published in the September-October 2012 issue of “American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy,” also concluded that daily use of nasal saline irrigation (NSI) improved nasal and sinus symptoms -- and was relatively safe, easy, inexpensive with minimal adverse effects. However, the longest study the authors evaluated lasted 12 weeks.
Question:	How do you clean it? Is the plastic it is made of safe to sterilize in the microwave
Answer:	There are saline packets available for sale, but I just mix one teaspoon of sea salt with one cup of distilled water. If you don't want to buy distilled water, you can boil water, let it cool and then mix. I think the reason for the distilled or boiled water is that there are obvious risks to injecting unclean water into your sinuses.

HOW TO USE

• Step 1: wash your hands.cut nasal salt into the bottle.
• Step 2: Fill a clean bottle with warm distilled water or previously boiled water to the filling line (300ml).
• Step 3: Tighten the cap and tube.Gently shake the bottle to dissolve the mixture.
• Step 4: Standing in front of a sink, bend forward to your comfort level and looking down, upside the bottle and gently insert the nozzle into one ostril. Press the button volve, the solution starts to flow and out from the other nostril. release the button to stop the solution.
• Step 5: Blow your nose gently, without pinching your nose completely because this will apply pressure on the eardrums.
• Step 6: Then repeat steps 4 & 5 for your another nostril.

• Do not use it if one side of your nose is blocked or if you have otitis or other ear disorders.
