Question:	I have an old Hunter #27186 remote that has gone bad. Will the #99120 work with receiver #84368, or do I need to replace that too
Answer:	No. The #27186 remote uses FCC IN2TX12 at 350MHz, its receiver would be the same frequency. I have the same wall remote switch #27186 with receiver #89532 (both use a 4-position dip switch to set the frequency). The switch #27186 connects to power (and ground) at the wall providing a switch at that location to turn the power on or off to the fan. The #99120 uses 434MHz -- not compatible with what pairs with the #27186 remote receiver. However, #99120 comes with its own mated receiver so if you want to replace the receiver in the fan then this wall remote and receiver is meant to work together. Be advised, though, it requires that you "hard wire" your power to the fan and there is not power switch at the remote -- the fan is always powered on. The packaging does not indicate its frequency of operation, you have to open the packaging to see. And, there is no 4-pin dip switch.

Answer:	Yes I think that would work. I have 1 fan on 2 transmitters. If I remember correctly, there is some thing like when you turn the power off and then on, if the fan receives the signal from the transmitter within a certain number of seconds, then the fan knows to pay attention to that transmitter. So I would think if you shut the breaker off to all fans and then turn it back on and just hit the transmitter buttons then it should work.

Answer:	This is a relatively long post, but it should completely solve your problem. Read the entire thing. Most of the way through sounds like the same procedures described in the manual, but there IS a difference.I used the procedure on model 99111, but should be the same for similar models. This procedure assumes you have 2 fans, and 2 wall controls, and want each wall control to operate "its own" corresponding fan - and not do anything to the other fan.Step 1: Identify the controller that is sending signals to multiple fans. This will most likely be the LAST unit you installed. It will probably be controlling "its own" fan ok, but also turning on/off some other fan. We will call this WALL CONTROL #1/FAN #1.Step 2: Identify the unit that seems to be controlling "its own" fan ok, and not sending any signals to any other fan. This is likely the FIRST unit you installed. We will call this WALL CONTROL #2/FAN #2.Step 3: Remove power from FAN #1. I had a single power feed to both fans, so I disconnected at the old wall-switch. If you have on separate feeds, it's easier because you can just throw the breaker. If you have a single feed, and no old wall switch connection to use as a break, you need to turn off the main breaker, remove the canopy cover, and disconnect the power to the wireless receiver. Whatever the case, going forward you will need to have NO POWER to FAN #1 - but will need power to FAN #2. Consult an electrician if you are not sure how to do this safely. Step 4: This is a series of sub-steps. 4a: Remove power from Fan #2 by turning the breaker off. 4b: Wait 30 seconds. 4c: Restore power to Fan #2 by turning the breaker on. 4d: Within 3 minutes, go to the WALL CONTROL #2 and simultaneously press and hold the FAN OFF (*) & FAN HIGH (...) buttons for 5 seconds. 4e: Release the buttons once FAN #2 has started its fan. 4f: Press the fan Off (*) button. This is the important part. REPEAT STEPS 4A - 4F TWELVE (12) times. Reason: There are 12 internal memory slots for codes in the receiver. You need to overwrite any codes and set them to the new values.Step 5: Restore power to FAN #1. Turn power off before re-connecting wires depending on which method you used in step 3.Step 6: Verify both Units/Fans operate independently.

Answer:	The fan controls run off of the AA batteries. This is essentially a remote which mounts into the switch box in the wall (you can actually use the switch without it being wired/in the wall, I had mine sitting on the counter with batteries in and it worked fine). The switch connects to existing wires in the box so that if there are preexisting switch-controlled lights or switches, they can be switched on/off with the power button on the Hunter control (the bottom button in the image, with the power on/off symbol on it).

Answer:	Gsh923 is incorrect. This states 'wireless' in the title description. This switch allows you to turn the fan/light on or off at the wall switch location, as well as using the handheld remote. If you have a ceiling fan/light combo and use regular wall switches, you have to use 2 separate switches, one for the fan and one for the light. If you install a remote control unit (handheld transmitter and canopy receiver) you must use only one regular wall switch, which will send power to the remote receiver, the regular wall switch will only send on/off power to the transmitter, and you must use a handheld remote to turn the fan AND/OR light on or off. THIS WIRELESS wall switch functions as both a wall switch allowing you to turn light and/or fan on OR off, AND it also functions as a transmitter (the same function as the handheld remote), so, for example, when you enter a room, you don't have to stumble around looking for a remote so you can turn on the light, instead you can switch the light on from the wall, and still turn the light off with the remote once you're in bed. This wall switch is meant to be used with a 16-code, 4-pin remote control system. What that 16 and 4 means is that on the receiver (the part that goes inside the canopy on the ceiling fan) there are 4 small 'pin' type switches, and there are 16 possible setting combinations (codes). Answer:	Probably. The exact same thing happened to me, and the switch was bad. Mine only lasted a few months. In my case, it was VERY painful to replace the ceiling part, but swapping in a new wall switch worked. I would not buy this brand again.
