When I wear "flat foot" inserts I have noticed that my ankles still rotate inward. About two years ago, I decided to order and test five different types of "high arch" inserts. Two of the "high arch" inserts lift my ankle into a normal position and I feel much less pain in my knees. The "flat foot" inserts that I have tried have a low arch and don't align my ankles, knees, and hips properly.

Answer:	No, I would not say they are soft at all. I have worn mine every day for almost 4 months and they have not squashed down and I am overweight. I had no problems with the insoles when I started wearing them, but I have heard others say it took them some time to break in. I would suggest wearing them for short periods of time to get used to the excellent arch on the insole. They have done wonders for my feet and my plantar fasciitus.
