Start at the nape of the neck and behind ears

What are head lice?

Head lice are very small insects that live in human hair; they actually feed on blood they draw from the human scalp. The eggs of the louse are called nits, and a female louse can lay about 100 nits. Where do head lice come from?

Your first question when you found out your child had head lice may have been: how did this happen? Head lice are actually quite common in children, especially children ages 3 to 12. 1. Apply Solution

Read complete directions on package prior to beginning treatment. Use towels to protect eyes and clothes. Apply RID Lice Killing Shampoo to DRY HAIR or other affected area. First apply behind ears and to back of neck. Apply enough product to saturate.

2. Wait

Thoroughly massage product into scalp. Allow product to remain on hair (or other affected area) for 10 minutes, but no longer.

3. Wash Out, Comb Using RID Comb

Use warm water to form a lather, shampoo, and then rinse thoroughly. After rinsing, you can now use a regular shampoo if you wish. With a special lice comb, (included with the RID Lice Killing Shampoo), remove any remaining nits (lice eggs) by hand, using a disposable glove.

4. Repeat

Answer:	I wanted to respond to this question because I believe carrfish may misunderstand this product. This product does not cure lice. It is meant as a prevention tool to use like hairspray. I bought this item because I am a teacher for young children and wanted to help prevent lice coming home with me. If you or your children have lice you need to treat it with an actual lice treatment box. These are found in drug stores.
