Answer:	Both. Manufacturer specs list wavelengths between 500-2500nm. Rest assured, this is nothing like a 660nm or 850nm near infrared bulb. This device produces very hot heat that can burn your skin if the device is too close for the 15 minute duration.

Please note that currently only our infrared heat lamp model number IL 50 has been approved for sale in the North American market. The IL 50 uses near to mid infrared light.
