Answer:	I'm 54 and consume about two or three of the 3.5 pound canisters per month. I love the taste and it helps me maintain my weight. Most other dry whole milks taste about the same but have a much higher cost. However, some powdered whole milks have a taste that is a bit unpleasant to me. I suggest purchasing a small amount and doing a taste test. Powdered milks don't taste exactly like regular milk and many people don't like it.

Answer:	As an aside, the expiration date on almost all canned products in the US is 2 years from the date of manufacture. This has more to do with an assertion about the longevity of the can than it does about the product inside most of the time. This is true across the board for pretty much every canned product you can find. FYI, I have a can of this purchased from Walmart, that's past it's "best used by" date of June 2012. We opened it July of 2013, and then forgot it was in the cupboard. I made a pitcher of milk from this can two weeks ago, it has no foul odor, it tastes identical to when it was opened. Research indicates that foods are edible far, far beyond best by dates in most cases, losing some nutritional capacity over time, but still being edible and usable.

Answer:	Most of the resources for conversion from cups to weight give a value of 1 cup = 4.4 Oz, so the stated amount in the description of 4 1/2 cups for a gallon would use roughly 19.8 Oz or about 1 1/4 lb. So the whole 2lb container will make roughly 1 3/4 gallon of milk.
Question:	I have tried to dissolve this product with no success. I've tried hot, boiling water and cold - it still curdels. Anyone have the secret to dissolve
Answer:	The best results I have found are to put warm water in the blender, which gets it as smooth as is possible. But I don't think you should expect ANY powdered milk product to dissolve 100%. I also feel that 6 tablespoons is a lot. Sometimes I only put in five and it still tastes fine. If you don't like this product, I suggest Trader Rick's. He has this same product and I never use 6 tablespoons of that product.

Answer:	I do not see anything on the can about organic, only "natural." They do have a facebook and may be contacted at 1.800.343.1185. Possibly they have organic options, but this particular can does not claim to be.

Answer:	The current website (5/2/2019) for Meyenberg Dairy states that they buy from farms in West Coast U.S.A.. They do not mention other areas or states. They show a map of where the farms are. We view these dairies as business partners, and in some cases we have a decades long relationship. While practices may vary depending on size and location, all our dairies are passionate about the humane treatment of their goats and providing high quality goat milk... " They state they do not give the goats bovine growth hormones, steroids or antibiotic. It is unclear if any of these could be in the feed. They are not sourcing milk or the feed from certified organic dairies/farms (all U.S. Organic Certified products are non-GMO by definition.) They state the goats get hay, grain, water & pasture. Many of the dairies are in the agribusiness California Central Valley, so drift of herbicides, insecticide , etc. could certainly occur from neighboring farms & fields & end up in the grain or pasture. They also say they periodically check these partner dairies to insure "best practices."

Answer:	May I pontificate a bit: Just want to add, that BPA is not the only threatening plastic derivative and additive in packaging. It has just gotten the most publicity. I was informed of this two years ago by a knowledgeable professional who boiled all the science down to say, "just do not use any plastics to store any of your food". As a hint for anyone I could help: I wrap everything in Parchment paper and THEN insert it into plastic baggies for ease, especially when traveling. Answer:	Nowhere on the package does it say "instant". The instructions for reconstituting call for this milk powder to be added to water and mixed thoroughly in a blender. Having said that, I use this only for yogurt making. I make my yogurt with fat free non homogenized milk. I add 3/4 cup of the milk powder per half gallon milk and use a hand whisk to blend the powder into the milk. I'm very happy with this brand. I used to buy Organic Valley brand from Amazon, but they no longer carry that.

Answer:	Three tablespoons powered mixed with 8oz water makes an 8oz glass of milk. Sodium per serving is 140 mg. Please note this is not an instant powdered milk. I mix it with hot water and a lot of stirring! But I also mix it with whole milk (8oz of each, powdered and whole) that has no antibiotics or hormones. I like it and am about to buy some more powdered milk. I hope this helps.

One pound of powder weighs 453.5 grams. So, at 13 grams per serving the bottle contains 34.9 servings. One serving makes 4.9 fluid ounces, and 34.9 servings makes 171 fluid ounces or 1.34 gallons of milk. That's $10.87 per gallon. This is more than twice the current cost of whole milk. Powdered milk cost ranged from half the price of milk to the same price as milk. Thus, this powered milk is two to four times more expensive than milk used to cost before stores started jacking up their prices.

Answer:	The label says caseinite (sp?) and also says contains milk and soy. It is not ALL milk but is made with milk derivatives.

Question:	Is this milk from non pregnant cows
Answer:	Cows are generally dried off after their calf is weened. She is then allowed to rejuvenate her body, for a time. This is the healthy way. A cow freshens after giving birth; is able to produce milk. She gives her calf the colostrum necessary for it's life, then the milk we drink is produced. Pregnant cows do not give milk, in general. That said, you may draw your own conclusions or contact the vendor for further information. I hope this helps.
Question:	How does the bag say to store this? Can I keep it on a shelf? What is the shelf life
Answer:	My bag says store in a cool, dry place. I just keep it inside a cupboard. I bought mine in September 2019 and it says best by 12/22/2020. Each bag will be different but I'm assuming the shelf life would be similar.
Question:	How many qts. will the 2.5 lb bag make
Answer:	It's hard to say because the proportions listed on the package aren't consistent. The package recommends 1/4 to 1/3 cup powder to 1 cup (warm) water, which roughly translates to about 2 - 3 avoirdupois ounces per cup of water, so if 4 cups = 1 qt, then roughly 8 to 12 ounces per quart. Thus, a 2.5 lb (40 oz) bag would make ~ 5 quarts whole milk liquid. I could be wrong, not having a scale to weigh the powdered milk, but that's the way I figure it. I would suggest you visit the manufacturer's website, http://www.judeesglutenfree.com/ , where they have a contact number to call.

Answer:	Feed records are not kept so I can not say. I the milk does come from a dairy cooperative where they do not use rBst. We get the dried milk powder in 50 lb bags and repackage it at our facility in Columbus Oh.

Alfredo Sauce Dry Mix

1 cup Judee's Gluten Free Whole Milk Powder

1/4 cup Judee's Gluten Free Corn Starch

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black or white pepper

1/8 tsp onion powder

1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan cheese

Combine ingredients. Store dry mix in airtight container in refrigerator.

To Prepare Alfredo Sauce:

Add 1 cup milk to 1 cup dry mix in saucepan. Heat over low until sauce is thick.

Hot Cocoa Mix

1 cup Judee's Gluten Free Whole Milk Powder

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup cocoa powder

Combine or whisk ingredients together.

Tip: For extra creaminess and rich flavor add 2 Tbsp Judee's Gluten Free Butter Powder

To Prepare Hot Chocolate:

Combine 6 Tbsp dry mix and 8oz hot water. Stir until completely dissolved.

Condensed Milk

1/3 cup hot water

1 cup Judee's Gluten Free Whole Milk Powder

2/3 cup Judee's Gluten Free Caster Sugar

Whisk whole milk powder into hot water. Add caster sugar and continue to whisk until smooth. Refrigerate up to one week.
