Our Jasmine Blossom blend has downy silver tips and most of the spent jasmine blossoms have been removed. It has an intoxicating aroma and a balanced and delicate flavor. This romantic tea may be enjoyed any time of the day but is especially pleasant in the evening. Flowers and tea are "mated" in machines that control temperature and humidity. It takes four hours or so for the tea to absorb the fragrance and flavor of the Jasmine blossoms, and for the highest grades, this process may be repeated as many as seven times.

We make sure there are quite a few months for all Encha packets sent to Amazon warehouse for fulfillment. The current 60g packet of Ceremonial-grade Encha (as of Feb. 5, 2018) has an expiration date of Oct. 2018. You can keep unopened Encha packets in the refrigerator all the way until the expiration date. Once you open one packet and use it daily, I suggest you to finish it within 1-3 months. When prepared just with hot water, Latte grade tastes a bit stronger (astringent or bitter) than Ceremonial grade. Fusion Green & White Tea Unique blend of rare and expensive white tea and top quality green tea. We begin with Mutan White (White Peony) which is made from the leaves of the da bai or "big white" bush and mixed with buds from the shui hsien or "water sprite" tea plant. The leaves have silver tips and are predominantly greenish-brown in color and very flat. The buds are lustrous, soft and silvery. Its name, a literal translation from the Chinese, probably comes from the very pale color of its liquor. We then blend this white tea with green tea from Japan, China and India. I believe the product is being stored in hot, unairconditioned conditions during the summer months, and this is to blame for the awful batches. The flavor seems consistently good during the colder months. |
