Answer:	I have this same problem. We’re going to try the tin foil hack but otherwise we may give up on this one. No point making quick, cute little pies if they’re burned 100% of the time.
Question:	Has anyone found a way around the inedible burnt edges? Tin foil not easy to apply. Love this, but no point with burnt edges
Answer:	My edges don't normally burn - they do get a bit dark sometimes but not burned. I would recommend experimenting with your pie dough. I usually use the rolled up refrigerated pie dough for the lower crust and frozen puff pastry sheets for the top crust. Parchment paper might be a better bet than foil (less likely to damage coating). Try cutting a ring out of the paper and check the edge maybe at about 4 minutes, then try putting the parchment paper on it. This is just a guess - I can't vouch that it will work.

Answer:	I don't know Babycakes but I do put a little Crisco shortening on this one it before I start. I, also, don't follow the directions about preheating it. I put the dough and filling in it before I plug it in. I clean it when it is still warm. It is easier that way. It takes a few tries to know how to work it. I hope this helps.
