Answer:	No , the box comes with 5 pouches. Inside each pouch is two worms. We break each worm in half and push inside mole holes with a small stick. Works best if you use gloves as to avoid human sent on worms. This product works.

Answer:	When i first started using these i had the same problem. I found that packing down about 8" of the run before setting the trap helps. It forces the mole to push more dirt and i havent missed one since.

Answer:	Yes, Ive used it a lot. Find a new mound, use a rod just bigger than the worm and try to make one hole. You can feel the ground give when you’re in the track. Ware gloves to keep human smell off worm. Cut in half and insert dropping it in. I cover hole with a little rock to seal. but do not press it down .
Question:	I was asking how far apart for 15 foot wide tunnel
Answer:	If you have a 15 foot-wide tunnel in your yard, this product will not be effective. You should instead call the Department of Homeland Security, as someone is smuggling truckloads of something under your yard.

Identify Surface Runways

Look for brown, grassless streaks on a lawn that are created when moles tunnel below. Carefully poke a hole in the top of the surface runway with your index finger. Be sure to not collapse the pile or cover up the hole. Mark the hole with a small stick. Repeat with several runway locations. Wait 48 - 72 hours and then check holes to see if they have been sealed. If they have, they are active and can be baited. Runways that have had holes resealed within 72 hours should be baited.

Bait Only Active Runways

Poke a hole 3 to 5 feet on either side of the assessment hole and place one worm bait down each hole. Push the worm as far down as you can. Make sure each worm is sitting on the floor of the runway. Reseal the runway with dirt to keep out any light and pinch hole closed or cover it with a piece of sod or small rock.

Check for Mole Activity

Wait 5 to 7 days, then check for mole activity using the same process in Step 1. If the holes stay open for 48 - 72 hours, the mole has likely traveled the runway and eaten the bait.

Detection

A clue that you might have a mole problem is your lawn will have raised brown, grassless streaks which are created when moles tunnel below. The other thing to look for are 'mole hills' which are seen above ground and are created when the mole pushes soil and debris to the surface.

Question:	is there an expiration date on package? This batch is not working, wondered if it is out of date
Answer:	There is no expiration date for this product, because the active ingredient, Zinc Phosphide, does not become less effective over time. If stored in a cool, dry place they should still work. However, if they have become wet they will disintegrate like dog food or rabbit food and not be usable. The poison peanuts will decompose within 2-3 weeks of treatment.
Question:	I placed these in the mole burrows and then it rained shortly afterwards. Does the rain disintegrate the pellets
Answer:	Moisture can cause these to disintegrate faster.
Question:	Will this work on chipmunks
Answer:	cannot say for sure about chipmunks. did not work for moles. tried carefully washing hands, using in combo with worms etc. only success was a mechanical trap and it was not foolproof. smart moles. at least a challenge to me.
Question:	How much area does one tube cover
Answer:	I don't know how much area it covers but what I do is poke a hole about every foot in their tracks and place 3-4 pellets in each hole and push a little dirt over the hole. Wear latex gloves so they don't smell that you put the bait there. good luck

Answer:	When the tunneling is active. If you see fresh tunnels in your lawn, garden etc, that is when you want to light one and shove it down the hole and cover it up. You may see smoke coming out of the ground in another location maybe 10, 15, 20 feet away as it travels through their burrow. Good luck with them. Answer:	I use it in my back yard, but not when the dogs are present. I treat early in the morning any fresh runs and the gas has abated by the time my four dogs go outside.
Question:	If I have moles next to some of my trees, will the gas kill the tree roots
Answer:	My guess is that the gas would not damage any roots, but that's simply a guess on my part. I had lots of new landscaping added to my backyard not long before I used these gas bombs, and none of my tender, young plants nor the roots were affected. By the way, these gas bombs were effective, but for only a short time. The mole or moles returned not long afterward, and I ended up needing to hire a pest control business to install mole traps under the surface of the soil.

Answer:	I can’t tell if we have gophers or moles, but they did stop building hills for almost 9 months. We had some recent activity, so I put down more worms - so far, so good....it’s really easy to use and I will buy again.

Answer:	Each packet has 2 worms. When I discover a mole trail I place 2 of the worms in different places in the trail. Then I daily continue to watch for more activity. Do not cut the worms in half, it takes the whole worm to kill a mole. I really can't say how big of area, just continue using until you see no more mole activity.

Answer:	I don’t have pets, but I looked this up: Motomco Mole Killer can be harmful to dogs if they were to ingest one of the worms. However, the product's label instructions require the worms to be applied underground, in active mole runways or tunnels. As long as the worms are underground and away from where they could be accessed by a dog, they are safe to use.

Answer:	I used several containers of this stuff and saw no evidence that it worked at all. switched to traps and got 7 moles out of the yard in three weeks.

Answer:	I had ~ 180 pocket gophers on my acreage, used Yard Butler with Moletox. I have only seen 4 mounds so far this spring, but won't really know until August (early May now)
Question:	Can I use it with pets in my yard
Answer:	I use it with extreme caution. I follow the products instruction and bury it deep into the ground(mark it with sprinkler flags). We have a cat and a neighbor's dog that wanders around our yard but never noticed any "digging" from them. The product has a very strong garlicky odor and I always use a caution handling it since it's a product designed to kill or make a mole sick and die.

Answer:	I don't know. I haven't seen signs of squirrels since we are in a heat wave. But there are new signs of gophers. So I'm not sure it worked at all.

Question:	Can you use this in vegetable garden
Answer:	You probably "could" use it to prevent/kill grubs (and other insects), but probably should not use it in your garden(s) if you intend to eat the veggies you grow, since it IS a chemical. Grubs typically won't eat most veggie or flower roots anyway as they tend to be a bit "hard" and "biter" for grubs liking, so you shouldn't even need to use any in your veggie or flower beds or garden areas, they do however enjoy grass roots as they tend to be much thinner, softer and "sweeter" to grubs, so use it only on your lawn/grass. You can also heavily apply this product and NOT worry about any lawn damage. I double the recommended spreader setting and it never negatively affects my lawn and I never get grubs anymore. Answer:	Yes, you can apply at the same time, I have for years! I apply this product each year 7 to 10 days after the LAST frost (usually early to mid March in my area of NYC), that way the soil has started to soften up and the products can get down and do their job, at the same time I apply a "Scotts" brand Crabgrass Pre-Emergent (which only kills/prevents SOME weed types) and so I also throw down a broader spectrum weed n feed to combat most/all other types of weeds and I also get a lawn food and a soil food down as well and I always overseed heavily each fall. Since figuring out my lawn and soil, what it needs and what works best for me, I have not had any grub or carbgrass issues in about 12 years. Good Luck

Question:	Why are the pictures of these two totally different products
Answer:	You have 2 competing versions of the same basic trap here. The main picture with the flat metal plate construction is the right one, and will work better. The picture with the bent steel rod framing looks exactly like a slightly cheaper version of this trap which has had some durability issues noted. (the trigger plunger tends to break off). Also, the bent rod framework tends to sink into the ground too far when setting the trap. The Wire Tek 1001 is easier to set correctly, although it does cost a few bucks more.
Question:	This thing actually works a little too well. Can anyone tell me of a trick or easy way to release it to dump all the bodies? Step on it again
Answer:	I pull the set trap out a little just to make sure there is a mole in it. Then I push it back into the ground and step on it. This releases the mole which I just leave buried in the ground. Then I take a stick and carefully push the trap out of the ground. Once clear, I tap the stick end against the trigger to release the trap.
Question:	I don't understand where you place the trap. I have several spots where mounds are left in the yard. Do you dig down and place in the tunnels
Answer:	I use a skewer to poke around the mounds to see where the run is. One mound had no visible tunnels so I placed it in the mound and caught the mole. If I can see or detect a run with the skewer I place it in the run. Had mine for a week now and have caught 2 moles.
Question:	is there anyway to adjust the sensitivity of the trigger on these? the moles just dig under without setting it off
Answer:	My trap was also not sensitive enough to trigger when moles dug under it. To improve sensitivity I cut a 1 X 1-1/4-inch rectangular shim out of a 1/16th-inch thick piece of hard plastic and glued it inside and at the end of the 1-1/4-inch-wide iron channel that has the yellow label. The shim prevents the cocking mechanism from rotating as far past the triggering point when the trap is set. I now have caught 4 moles in 4 tries. Your trap may need a thinner or thicker shim than mine in order to stay cocked with improved triggering sensitivity, depending on manufacturing tolerances.

Answer:	There's really no difference. It's merely used to deposit poisonous bait in the underground tracks of either gophers or moles. It's very easy to load with bait and then use. I've used mine several times and it truly does get rid of the pests that can honestly destroy your yard!
Question:	I have horses, will the poison be absorbed through the grass and then the horses eat the grass
Answer:	The poison goes into mole tunnels to be eaten my gophers or moles. Not sure if would absorb into grass? I would think you would have to ask a pesticide expert. It works very well for under ground pests

Answer:	I have two dogs that are diggers, so I don’t use this in their area. Don’t want to take a chance on then eating it! It is a serious poison!
Question:	can these be used to anchor a protecta sidekick
Answer:	No. This is a poison applicator. It gets the poison down into the mole hole. I guess you can put rat poison in it to apply it into a rats nest, but it’s not an anchor.

Question:	Does this work for gofers as well
Answer:	No. Gophers are vegetarian so they want roots mostly. There are products designed for gophers, but gopher traps are a good choice with some practice.
Question:	if the product poisons the mole and kills it and another animal eats the mole will it kill the other animal
Answer:	I do not know. I have no data. I have not seen any dead moles on the surface of my lawn. That being said, I would think the affected mole would die in its habitat (underground tunnels) and therefore the risk would be minimal to other animals, unless the other animal digs it up and eats it.
Question:	Not sure i'm understanding this. do you use this with a trap as bait or is this some sort of poison you use by itself
Answer:	It is a poison. You find active tunnels then poke a hole and insert the bait. When i find an area of activity I flatten all the surface tunnels then watch closely for new activity (I wait an hour then check every 30 minutes). Once some new tunnels pop I insert bait that way I don't waste bait. I have a 1 acre yard and had activity in 3 spots. Two have ceased but the third is stubborn. 66% is pretty good IMO.

Question:	How is product applied
Answer:	Anywhere I found activity I would take a worm cut it in half, wear gloves, and use a pair of long nosed needle nosed pliers to put in one of the holes or tunnels. plus put a rock to cover the hole once bait is in place. I have found this to be very useful in rodent control.
Question:	How deep do you make the dowel hole
Answer:	I don't make a dowel hole. I have a garden tool with a narrow long blade with a fork on the end that I use, open the hole the mole has made and pry around with the tip of the tool to find the direction of the mole's tunnel. Then I drop/poke one worm in the hole and with the tool push it down in the tunnel, and cover the opening up again. DO NOT TOUCH THE WORM WITH YOUR HANDS, use throw away rubber gloves. You touch the worm and you leave your scent on it.
Question:	how many worm in each order
Answer:	I had a lawn full of moles, ordered 4 boxes with eight and was able to stop the spread. I will reorder another 2 boxes to keep them in check, it does work.

Answer:	I seriously doubt it. I have been trying for over a month and have not caught any. I would not buy this style for voles or moles.

Question:	there appears to be no way to hold trap down while pulling plunger up
Answer:	In my opinion there is not an easy way to set this trap. I pull on the spring loaded ram with one hand and hold on to the frame with the other hand. It is easy for hand to slip off the frame. It is important to get the trigger in position before setting trap so the latch falls in place when the ram is pulled back. In any case it is difficult to set this trap.

Victor Mole Trap

It is time to take control of your garden or lawn with the Victor Mole Trap. Use this trap to effectively kill moles without the use of poisons or harsh chemicals. This trap is weather-resistant and features a plunger-style body that lets you use it repeatedly wherever moles happen to pop up in your yard. The safety pin ensures secure operation, and it comes fully assembled, ready for use!

Why Stop the Moles?

Moles and Gophers fall into the irritating garden critter category and really can do some massive damage. Moles dig tunnels underground to navigate through, although in their process they chew up root systems and mess with plants nourishment systems.

Setting the Trap

1. Flatten out all tunnels, wait 24 hours, then set traps in these locations.
2. Make a depression in the roof of the main tunnel by pressing down with your thumb.
3. Center the trap on the tunnel, with the activator plate directly over the depression you’ve made with your thumb.
4. Push trap down until spears have bottomed out.
5. Preset spear holes by plunging spears up and down until they travel easily to the bottom on their own.
6. Before setting the trap, make sure the latch lever is OUTSIDE the pan.
7. Holding the trap frame in place, rapidly pull upward on the setting handle until the latch lever snaps over the pan.
8. Trap is set. If necessary, apply slight downward pressure to ensure the activator plate is fitting IN the thumb depression, contacting the roof of the tunnel.
9. Trap has fired. Remove mole.
