Once we’ve identified the healthiest and best looking beans, we send them to our esteemed roasting artist. Although we’ve done all the math and have discovered the perfect temperature to roast our beans at, we cannot ignore the element of artistic talent that goes into roasting. We use the most advanced roasting technology, however no amount of technology can replace a trained craftsman. Because we hold fast to this belief, our roasting artist constantly inspects and tests our process. Armed with his canine-level senses, he watches, smells, and listens to the roaster. Incredibly in tune with his equipment, the roaster becomes an extension of his own supreme talent and ability. Once the beans are roasted to our liking, we cool and degas them. It is important that beans have enough time to degas before grinding and packaging, however not enough time to get stale. The surface that the bristles come out of is the same smooth texture as the rest of the brush, but there is a tiny give to it. Not like a brush with a foam or fabric base at all. But more give than a wooden base would have, for example.

Answer:	The gift box is made of cardboard. I found it to be very presentable. I gave it as a gift. I have been drinking Taylors of Harrogate teas for many years. Ever since my son gave me the gift of a box of Yorkshire Tea he picked up while on a business trip to London. I order my Taylors of Harrogate teas from Amazon. A similar box with eight compartments made of wood would cost an additional $20 to $30 depending on the type of wood. Answer:	These are not just coffee and artificial flavorings. I emailed Godiva recently to ask if the flavored coffees are vegan. They replied "I do apologize, but at this time Godiva does not have any vegan products." So they are using some if not all natural flavorings.

Answer:	I am not a fan of starbucks and I love all of the blends/roasts offered by koffee kult (I have had them all and made them all in a pot, press, and pour over). I've only ever liked one brand more, and that brand went out of business a couple years ago so koffee kult has been my go to for a couple years now. By the way the dark roasts have a very rich chocolatey flavor, but are not overly sour or bitter which makes dark and thunderbolt my favorites.

Answer:	I have been ordering this coffee for several years and still love it. I recently switched from using an AeroPress to cold brew and it is still my favorite every day blend. I have tried others and aside from their own Grizzly Claw I have not been able to find another blend that satisfies my taste buds as well. Glady give it 5 stars
Question:	How long the time I can store this coffee
Answer:	I have stored UNOPENED, SEALED 5-pound bags of several different brands of coffee — and this is the important part — in the back of the BOTTOM basket in my freezer successfully (so far!l) for almost seven — that's right SEVEN — YEARS, now. I "Sharpie" the date on each bag upon the start of what may be a long, cold "slumber" in the bowels of my "not-so-cryogenic" freezer, only to choose an "oldie but goodie" from the collection at some far future date. I have yet to be disappointed from opening and enjoying the exquisite aroma, flavor, smoothness, and even "elegance" of the contents of a 5 or 6-plus year old bag. I have done this ONLY with UNOPENED, SEALED *WHOLE BEAN* coffee. I did try some bags of unopened, sealed GROUND coffee, but couldn't get them to "survive" long term freezer storage more than about 18 months before their respective "flavor", aroma, and "smoothness" profiles started to noticeably diminish.

Answer:	Fair trade coffee is not guaranteed to be free of mold or mycotoxins. Bad beans can slip through and even often do. Mycotoxins are present in a large percentage of coffee beans and make it into the final drink. However, their levels are far below the safety limit. Unfortunately, fair trade beans are all over the place on the spectrum. It's nice that the market "drives" prices, but in reality, we need to get away from the system they are using currently. Kicking Horse has pretty good coffee though. For almost 10 bucks for 10oz, I'm gonna try to just support locally roasted beans.

Answer:	So the traditional measured cup of coffee is 5oz. My carafe is a 10 cup carafe. I would say I was able to get about 2 full carafes, maybe another half, out of each package. So, you could say 20-25 cups. But realistically, how often are you drinking only 5oz? My coffee mug holds about 20oz itself. So I was able to get about 5 cups per package using my mug.

Columbian Supremo

Colombia is the largest Arabica coffee producing country in the world and third in terms of total coffee production in the world. Colombian Supremo is referring to the actual size of the bean, which must be a 17 or 18 size, in order to be characterized as a Supremo. Colombia is able to produce coffee beans year round because of the size and the terrain variety that it has to offer. This high grown coffee possess a nice snappy acidity, rich flavor and aroma, with a strong finish.

Kenya AA

Kenya coffee is known for being some of the best in the world and with the steps they take to grow it, it makes perfect sense! There are over 11 volcanoes in Kenya which provide the much needed rich nutrient soil that is required for quality coffee beans. The beans are processed using the wet method and fermentation process that can take up to 36 hours per batch. It is then sundried, which can take up to an additional 6 weeks, but will result in a more fruity and fuller bodied outcome. Kenya AA can be described as a jolt of sharp acidity and powerful aroma, with fruit notes that envelopes the senses. This is truly a classic grand coffee!

Ethiopian Harrar

Ethiopia is considered by most experts to be the birthplace of coffee, so it only makes sense to include our favorite African origin beans! The first story of coffee is told about a goat herder named Kaldi, who noticed his animals acting vigorously while standing beneath a coffee tree. He decided to try the beans for himself and thus this started the rich history of coffee as we know it today. The Ethiopia Harrar beans genetics are considered to be some of the oldest in production today. These beans are grown at 5,000 feet above sea level and are naturally processed, which give off the distinct berry notes that this area is most recognized for. The cupping notes include; fruit, raisin, blueberry, vanilla, light acidity, and wonderful smoothness. Pair with fruit salads and pies to allow the flavors to shine through.

Honduras

Honduran coffee is grown in a very similar environment as Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. These beans are considered SHG or Strictly High Grown, meaning they are coming from an area that is at least 1200 meters above sea level. This higher altitude and lower temperature may take longer for the bean to mature, but produces a much denser bean. These beans are all sorted by hand at time of harvest, to ensure only the finest make the long journey it takes to end up in your coffee cup. The harvest period takes place from December into April. The cupping notes are a fruity fragrance, lively acidity, orange, velvety taste, soft body, and a smooth finish.

Although we’ve done all the math and have discovered the perfect temperature to roast our beans at, we cannot ignore the element of artistic talent that goes into roasting.
