Answer:	Of course, it depends on the weight of the TV. I would feel safe mounting my 18" TV on the wall without using a stud, but I would use better wall anchors than the plastic ones. Actually, my TV is mounted in a cut-out in a cabinet door to a bracket behind the cut-out. So, the weight of the TV, TV mount, and cabinet door is supported by the door hinges. The door is closed most of the time. The TV is in our motorhome.

Answer:	I would recommend toggle bolts over anchors, but there should be studs either 16” on center or 24” on center at the least. There are plenty of mounting holes in the tv mount to at least hit one stud. The TV shouldn’t weigh more than 50lbs, so heavy duty toggle bolts may be the best option.

Answer:	I don't know if one exists, but i've used this mount for three different size tv's, and also three different brands and it worked fine. I used it for a 40", 48", and 32" tvs. There are plenty of holes in the part that mounts to the tv, to cover most sizes.

Answer:	It is easy to rotate TV. However, I had to return the mount, because it would not "lock" in the vertical position. Once I rotated into vertical, it would tilt back a few degrees out of plum.

Answer:	Yes it does, but I was disappointed that it didn’t lock properly horizontally or vertically. I have to put a block of wood to level it when I turn it vertically or else it cantors at an angle. The only thing limiting you from going clockwise or counter clockwise are your cables in the back

Answer:	Not quite 2 inches. It looks like it's flat against the wall completely standing a few feet away. But we tilted our tv down a little. So the bottom of the tv is 2 inches from the wall and the top is about 6 inches from the wall.

Answer:	The two hinged pieces between the wall mounting plate and the part attached to the TV measure a total of 22 inches. So that would mean it could CENTER on a 44 inch wide TV. But the plate where the TV attaches is wide enough and strong enough to mount the TV off center. That plate is 35 ½ inches wide. I suppose it depends on where the vertical brackets attach to the back of your TV.
