Answer:	Yes, this can opener is a 'classic' type of electric can opener - it cuts around the rim of the can and the magnet on top of the cutting parts catches the can top as it comes off the can (it is NOT the type of can opener that simply opens the seam around the top of the can). Mine is still working very well after several months of use.
Question:	How big is the inside pocket
Answer:	I have not found a can it will not open. Not sure what a #10 can is. I don't know can sizes by number. If a can is tall, I just slide the opener over to the edge of the counter so I can get the lid into alignment with the cutter.
