The speaker's woofers use a mica-reinforced diaphragm, the upper surface of which is fashioned to deliver supple and faithful sound quality, while the bottom layer is designed to provide a powerful bass response. The cabinet of the SS-CS8 is made from wood, which is designed to provide a natural resonance, and its bass reflex construction will give directionality to the low frequencies. The speaker's crossover network is mounted directly to the cabinet for vibration isolation, which is intended to assure low signal loss. Four rubber foot pads are included to isolate the speakers from your shelf, so as to reduce shelf vibration.

| Answer: | Replying to Dennis, you can remove the speakers, the speakers are not connected to the radio at all. The product comes in 3 pieces then you plug the speakers into the radio. |
