Answer:	I've always recommended Energizer batteries and have never had complaints. It is possible the batteries you purchased were "old" depending on how long they sat on the store shelf OR they are defective/bad batteries. I called Skylink to get their opinion and they said Energizer...
Question:	is there a way to have a silent alarm but still have it call
Answer:	The system has two parts 1) The phone dialer unit 2) The main control unit which has an audible alarm. The alarm is very loud and is made that way to deter someone breaking in by scaring them off and is usually very effective in that mode. The audible alarm inside the main control unit can have one of the two wires cut to make it a silent alarm. I hope that answers your question.
Question:	What if the robber immediately smash the control panel while the alarm is sounding off ? The whole system is disabled at that point, correct
Answer:	yes, and here's how i mitigate that possibility: I first put the control panel in a locking metal box, in a location not easy to get to. Drilled a hole in the box so the antenna can pop out the top and send/receive signals and power cords could go in . Second, I added the extra wireless sirens. Once the sirens go off, smashing the control panel won't stop the external wireless sirens. Two of them in fact on opposite sides of the house, outside under window awnings so they can be heard from the street or by neighbors. So, to completely shut off all noise, the bad guy would have to find 2 sirens, smash them, then hunt around the house for the control panel, break into the metal housing and finally smash that. That would take a good 5 minutes at least of blaring alarms going off. Extra sirens are only $35 a pop. Hell you could add 4 of them if you wanted to wake up the whole neighborhood.

If I remember correctly, when you first set up a hub, there is an "learn" button to click in the app. When you set up and initialize each sensor, there is a "learn" button to click in the app. This learn option doesn't appear in the app until you are in the process of setting up the hub or a sensor.

Security System. The difference between model SC-100 and model SC-100W is that the “W” version is white while the SC-100 is off white. If there are any troubleshooting issues with this system, it is recommended to reset the system completely and reprogram the sensors again. This can be done by following the below step by step instructions: To reset the control panel, please contact Skylink Support, toll free at 1-800-304-1187 to request these instructions. This information cannot be provided for security reasons. To re-program the sensors to the main control panel, please follow the below steps for each sensor and remote: Program the door/window sensor (WT-433) to zone 1. 1. Enter your MPIN. 2. Press [B]. 3. Press the number key to identify current zone [1]. 4. Then press [*] and now it has 30 seconds for you to program the sensor into SC-001. Press the test button on the door/window sensor, you will hear a long beep to indicate the sensor will now communicate to the zone. 5. Answer:	I live in the tropic temperature at 65 to 96 and it work fine.

Answer:	The chime is most certainly loud enough to be heard in multiple rooms. I'd say roughly 80bB if the siren rings at 110dB (just a guess-timate at best). It is a two tone chime in the ding-dong pattern where the first tone is a slightly higher frequency than the last. It is a low doorbell type tone, not a high pitched whine. Unobtrusive yet easy to hear for all ages. The siren is a louder higher pitched police car wail. I will try to record audio of the tones and post a link to them tonight. I will post the link as a response here.Just to note, unless you reprogram the zones, the chime will ring anytime you walk in front of the motion detector, which was annoying to me as I placed that in my living room. If it is in an entrance hallway, I would not worry about it.
Question:	what is the operational temperature range of the devices
Answer:	There are two battery systems for the unit. The solar rechargeable battery needs sunlight. The backup alkaline batteries do not need sunlight. If you mount the unit in the shade, then the backup batteries will power the unit for 2 to 3 months until they need to be replaced (which is a chore).

Answer:	The keypad does need to be plugged in. The plug/cord is long. Estimate 20'. There is a battery already installed used only as back up. No idea how long that lasts. It is important to note that once installed and set, if the keypad is unplugged for any reason the alarm will be activated.

Answer:	You should be able to setup 4 sensors per zone or 16 total for one control panel. You just need to purchase the needed sensors and sync them with the panel. If you need more than 16 sensors, I don't believe that you can sync up 2 control panels but you could set them up as two parrellel zone systems. Then, code them the same and sync your key fobs and remote keypad with both so you can activate/deactivate with one controller.

Answer:	Using the smart life app, you can schedule countdown timers & time and days of the week. The wifi plug does’t detect light of dusk or dawn. These are times that you would coordinate.

Answer:	I have a door sensor in my storage in my backyard, that's about 60-70ft, and that works without any problem. I get instant notification on my phone when that door is open.

Answer:	Yes! But not through the SkyLinkNet app. You must first set up the SkyLinkNet security system. Then you must install the IFTTT (If This Then That) app. This app allows you to set an event to trigger another event. I was able to use it to set my security system to auto-arm itself at a certain time at night and then disarm itself again in the morning. This way you won't forget to arm it before going to bed and forget to disarm it before the first person leaves in the morning. I was also able to use IFTTT to turn my kitchen lights (which are connected to a smart WeMo lightswitch) to come on if the security system is triggered at night. It's a fairly self explanatory process but you will need to download the IFTTT app and create an account with them. It's free though. They are a trusted company and have been around for a long time and their app is used frequently in the home automation community. Good luck!
Question:	how far does the interior motion sensor reach
Answer:	SkylinkNet HUB HU-100 no power, not going online. It happened to me as well. The LED would be always blinking red. Not going online, of course. The reset procedure would not help. In the end, rhe problem was the power adapter. These things are prone to failure quite often. I changed it with a universal 300mA AC/DC power adapter, selected 6V output and everything is all good now. Customer service was very responsive, they sent me the same resetting procedure, but I had to figure the issue on my own. I hope this helps.

All in all, a very good system. In the 6 years I've had mine only replace the sensor batteries twice.

Household Long-Range Alert Kit with 2 Motion Sensor, HA-300

The HA-300 Wireless Long Range Household Alert & Alarm Motion Kit will alert you of security breaches. You can set the system to one of three operating modes to be alerted when movement is detected. All three modes will flash an LED to notify you of movement, you can change the mode based on the audio indicator you would like to receive. Alert Mode omits beeps when a sensor is activated, Alarm Mode will scare off intruders with a 95 dB siren, and Off Mode will not omit any audio indication, just visual LED lights. A supervised Sensor feature is equipped to monitor the sensor battery to let you know when the battery life is low. Expandable system, add up to 16 sensors (sold separately) in up to 4 different zones for more enhanced security and alert applications. Audio - Alert/Alarm/Mute Modes

The Base Station will immediately sound either a beep in the alert mode or a siren in the alarm mode when a sensor is triggered.

Zone / Visual Indicator

You can set up all the sensors in four different zones to help you identify which sensor has been triggered. The zone LED will flash when a sensor from that zone has been triggered.

Status Check

Question:	How do you arm/disarm this alarm system
Answer:	Since the sensors are "programmed" on location to communicate with the receiver unit, the sensor(s) will activate two receivers simultaneously as long as the sensor(s) have been programmed to each receiver.
Question:	Can one of the window/door sensors from this kit be used instead of the garage door alert sensor on my garage door
Answer:	Well I did not get the window sensors. Reading the specs it states......Receiver may be used in either 'Alert' or 'Alarm' mode. Yes on the Receiver, there is a toggle switch you move to either Alert or Alarm. So I would guess the answer would be no.
Question:	If I want two monitors, can the sensors be linked to both monitors
Answer:	Yes and no. No, the sounds are all the same. It's a beeping sound like a truck backing up makes, except not quite as annoying. There are 4 stations so you can hook 4 sensors up to it. Each sensor makes a different number of beeps per cycle depending on which sensor is triggered. For example, if sensor 1 is tripped, it will beep once each second (roughly) for the duration of the cycle (about 8-10 seconds). If the second sensor is tripped, it beeps twice per second for the cycle. The third will beep 3 times per second and the 4th four times per second. So it would be either "beep.....beep....beep" or "beep-beep......beep-beep....beep-beep" or "beep-beep-beep....beep-beep-beep.....beep-beep-beep" etc So you know which sensor is tripped by the number of beeps you hear when the sensor is triggered. All you have to remember is where you placed each sensor and what their corresponding numbers are.
Question:	Can the motion sensor by set to chime, while the window sensor is set to alarm
Answer:	No. I have the receiver inside and the transmitter outside. They are about 20 feet from each other but walls and doors are between them.

Question:	What receiver(s) Do I need to get for this? Is there a stand alone receiver for it
Answer:	Hi. I have not had any problems with this sensor, it works very well. Try changing the battery of the sensor, reprogramming the Skylink main control and keypad unit and readjust the sensitivity of the vibration sensor. Then put the control unit into test mode and tap the sensor at varying adnustment levels to confirm that it will sound the test chime. If all fails, try changing the sensor and repeat the procedure.
Question:	Will this sensor work with the SC-001 control panel
Answer:	Plug the receiver into an outlet to arm and unplug to disarm. You can also turn off the audible alarm and just have the lights work.
Question:	This sensor keeps setting off the siren even if its disarmed. It wont just chime like door sensors, is this normal
Answer:	The window sensor can be installed like on a window onto your garage door, so when the door opens the contact will be disturbed and the sensor will send a signal to the receiver that it has been broken. Install it on the inside of your garage door.
